Updated 2020 rosters on OOTP19
Is it possible to update your OOTP19 roster to the 2019 season without purchasing OOTP20?
I plan on buying OOTP20...but until it is released I want to play with this years roster. |

you can copy paste all but the playerIDs onto a new "20" league exported roster set... must have enough players to cover necessary player ID.
if team ID are different, it shoudln't matter... just to copy over those. should be in alphabetical order... if order is diffferent at all.. either sort or copy/paste per team. leave teamid and playerid unmolested. those need to match original values or you will cause all sorts of problems wtih dB. one caveat... e.g. the year they added personality ratings... these didn't exist the year before... so, you'd have to manufacturevalues or just give blanket 100/200 etc. 100/200 is probably the 'average' of how it worked before -- best guess. so, as long as columns are the same, you are golden on that... even if not, you can likely find a way. heck, you can even Rand(0:200) for it all... that may or may not be the correct spreadhseet function name, but it does exist - random(range). google can help from there. could even do an IF structure... like if pot > 76, then rand(100:200),else if 51<x<76, then rand (50:150), else rand(0:50) -- and make it based on ability or anythign you want. edit: lol, if they don't like this they'll throw a wrench into how this works... no matter what you can just selective copy/paste to avoid those pitfalls, if they do. changing names and ratings of existing players altogether is as simple as copy and paste. just leave the primary key -- playerID. those are generated, autoincremented, unique id's and you cannot simply add one to an imported file and expect it to work. you can re-use existing id's though. There is a quickstart on the forums with updated stats and ratings through the end of August. That's as close as you will get I think.

nah, unless they disable it, simply export from the ootp20 demo.
if that is disabled, have someone host the file and share it. only need the csv export. tiny little thing. you can have the most up-to-date roster as anyone else can, once it is released... sans any changes/improvements made form one release to the next. once oopt20 is release it's a matter of a few minutes for an older release to use it, if you are familiar with the process. so, you get it a few moments later at worst. everyone waits on the release of the game and roster update no matter how it is used. even if they change distribution around, autocalc modifiers will correct that.
