Unhappy I just lost 2018 sim after a walk-off Grand slam!!

I Had been playing OOTP19 this past week in view mode and enjoyed a fun season as three divisions ended up in ties: Tampa Bay and Toronto, Chicago Cubs and St Louis and Arizona and Los Angeles. The D-Backs blew a nine game lead in the last month or so! Funny thing is the losers of two of the tie breakers were guaranteed a wildcard spot. The Cubs/Cards loser was out and it ended up being the Cubbies. Arizona and Tampa Bay won the tie breaker games and thus their respective divisions.
So I then started the first "play-in" game as I call them between Los Angeles and the Mets (the Nationals won the NL East by being the only team in the NL to win 100 games or more). deGrom was pitching against Kershaw! The Mets scored 3 in the first on a three run dinger from Wilmer Flores. They would not score again.
Odd thing was that the AI pinch hit for Kershaw in the third with one on. However the dodgers pen was excellent allowing no runs on 4 hits the rest of the way. However deGrom was unhittable just surrendering a single over 7 innings and striking out 9. Familla pitched the 8th but walked the leadoff hitter in the ninth. He was removed for Swarzek who gave up a single and walked a batter before striking out one and then Puig came to the plate. He promptly drilled a 425 foot shot o the fence in left center and game over!!
Now the tragic news: I keep my OOTP19 open on my MacBook all the time and rarely save it. I know dumb right. Well I wanted to save this replay so when I clicked on that box it takes me out to Safari and crashes asking if I wanna report it! I am so sad but I have learned my lesson and it was certainly fun playing while waiting for OOTPXX!!

you will only lose unsaved data from last save point.

if you have auto-save per year... it will revert back to jan 1 of that year. also, if you ever hand-click "save" that would also be the back stop of data loss.

it will do this automatically when you try to reload... it will say it has to revert or data is wrong etc... and it will go back to last saved date and cut out all that occured after that point as if it never happened.

good thing is you might not lose the WS this time... bad thing is you might not even get there again, lol, and unfortunately, the latter is WAY more likely than the preivous unless you have a very limited playoff system and and extremely elite team. then you can definitely assume you'll make the 1 playoff-series WS with 2 teams allowed in playoffs, type thing.
