New to OOTP - Why are my guys so old?

Hi, please forgive the newbie question.

I'm doing my first game as a historical sim between the 1972 Tigers and Athletics. The ages of my players say late 50s and early 60s and my photo of Mickey Lolich looks like he's headed to the nursing home. Do I have a setting wrong or something?

As far as the photo goes, there are a lot of players who end up with a photo from later in life, maybe when they were a manager or coach. The photos don't change with age, they only get one. So you may end up with a picture of Ted Williams managing from the Senators in the 70s when you are playing a sim with him in the 40s.

As far as their actual ages being in the 50s and 60s, that i'm not sure about

Strange, but when I closed out and rebooted, it's normal now. Reggie Jackson doesn't have a gray mustache any more.
