Thanks for the instructions -- I will give it another go!

This site here has fantastic information on almost every stadium ever used in the majors

Clem's Baseball ~ Stadium lists

It has historic configurations and also shows the profile of the stands which is useful when creating them in sketchup.

That's the thing. I have a new laptop and I had the free 30 day pro trial

not sure wha I am going to do in 7 more days or so. I do have another laptop in the house I can use to download and get another 30 days.

not sure if there is some other way to export OBJ files

Maybe you can answer a question too? Is it possible to change the BACKGROUND for every ballpark individually or does the game always use the "misc" pictures depending on day time?

Just asking because no matter how cool the stadiums look they´re always floating in the sky.
no way that I know of except incorporating it into the model, but that will most likely increase the size and load time of the model

I'll see if I can get a demo copy of SketchUp, though I think I might have already downloaded one on the current laptop. But we have another one at the house.

I'd like to possibly help, but don't count on me because art is not my thing. My interest would be some of the 1970s/80s historical parks so if I can figure out what I'm doing, I'll let you know and commit to some work. But don't hold me to it.

That looks awesome. Change the dome part and you'll have four other stadiums.

Anything would be helpful. Try searching for models already built by others on the 3D warehouse. then you ay need to update them to look good in OOTP. I just finished veterans stadium and am working on Kingdome doing it that way

You might be able to get the free Sketchup models imported into something a bit more full-featured (and free) like Blender.

Import SketchUp Models into Blender : KatsBits TUTORIALS

Silvam, you are a MACHINE! We are all so grateful you stepped up. Wish I had the time to help ya out. My demo copy of Sketchup expired

BTW, change up the color of the wall (which I've managed to do) and you have a pseudo Metrodome!

Well, the MAKE version of sketchup is free. you could create the rest of the stadiums and I could export them

If this helps; Veterans stadium which you already have done was modeled after Three Rivers Stadium. Also, Riverfront was modeled after Three Rivers. So you pretty much have 3 identical stadiums here.

Baseball was using a cookie cutter stadium then.

So I imported a version of Shea Stadium from 3D Warehouse and exported it as a .dae file from SketchUp. But every time I try to import that .dae file into OOTP, OOTP crashes. What am I not doing right?

Not from SketchUp. I also downloaded Blender, but I haven't been able to figure out how to use it yet.

Just posted the Metrodome. Done from scratch. Think I'm getting better at this.
