Union League Baseball has an opening

Union League Baseball has one opening at the moment. We are a couple days away from the start of the 2005 Union Cup playoffs, which will start on Wednesday or Friday depending on the next sim. And the Vipers could very easily make the playoffs too, if you like instant gratification.

Our current opening is the Las Vegas Vipers. The Vipers are currently 80-74 and in third place in the Players League East. They are currently tied for the 2nd wild card spot, and have a 3 game series against the Columbus Crickets which could decide the final spot.

On the roster, they have some good players, like Ichiro Suzuki (2000 PL MVP), Aubrey Huff (2003 PL MVP) and a pitching staff anchored by Josh Karp and Chris Smith. Pending Free Agent Carlos Lee is on the FL for the next couple of months with a broken kneecap, and could potentially be resigned. They are financially sound for the moment, with a $70 million dollar payroll placing them squarely in the middle of the pack spending wise.

We sim Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 8:00PM, EST and Sunday at 12:00PM, EST. During the offseason, we sim very day, and the offseason typically lasts about 2-3 weeks.
