Hall Of Fame Outfielder, CHUCK KLEIN

Chuck Klein displays the batting stance that brought him a .320 lifetime batting average with 300 home runs and eventual enshrinement at the National Baseball Hall Of Fame in Cooperstown, New York.

Chuck Klein (HOF).
Klein led the NL in home runs four times, Led in
Slugging Pctg. three years, led in RBI twice, led in
Batting Average once, and he won the NL's 1932 Most Valuable Player Award.
He was quite an offensive force (300 home runs with a .320 career batting average)
over a 17-year MLB career (1928-1944).

Joe Marty

Phillies Outfielder Joe Marty.
Acquired from the Cubs in 1939,
Joe Marty was a .270 hitter who played a good
defensive Center Field. At age 28 he was drafted
into military service During World War Two before
the 1942 season. He was unable to return to the
majors after missing four seasons to Uncle Sam
and his once-promising baseball career ended.

(All Photos of 1939 & 1940 Philadelphia Phillies are from "The Conlon Collection". The family and estate of legendary baseball photographer, Charles Conlon teamed up with The Sporting News to produce a card set of black and white photography baseball cards during the first half of the 1990s that includes over 2,000 cards of players who played major league baseball from 1905 to 1942. Many of these players were featured on a baseball card for the first time ever in the TSN/Conlon Collection.)

Clarence Ace Parker (1912-2013)

Does anyone have any photos of Clarence 'Ace' Parker?
Parker was a Hall Of Fame Pro Football Player and was the oldest living Pro Football player until his death. He also was a football All-American at Duke University and he's in the College Football Hall Of Fame also. "Ace" was also the second oldest living former major leaguer until his passing. Parker played all infield positions, but was primarily a Shortstop for the Philadelphia Athletics in 1937 and 1938.

Here's one more, with the Cubs in spring training in 1947.

Robin Yount - Brewers

I must be missing something. MOst of the players you are requesting are players with 100's of hits on ebay. I just found 200 or so of Yount including these. There were over 500 for George Brett. You said you have been looking for them? If you have looked and none of these that I am posting now (I know not all of them are from 1983) fit your criteria, could you please state exactly what you have looked for? You want poses, action, face photos or what? In any case, here are some nice ones of Robin including some early ones in case anyone can use them. Personally, I only collect up to 1972 but was just curious what might be there for my hometown Brewers.

Never mind, I backtracked and see that you only want Topps Vault photos... ok, sorry.

Here are some samples of what I'm looking for...mostly portrait, etc. These are the jerseys that the guys wore in those years. I could only upload 5 so the Brewers road jersey is missing. I want to use them for my 1983 Total Conversion for MVP 2005 that I'm working on...128x128px finished product @ approx., 200 resolution. Please give me the website for the ebay stuff. I just went into ebay and typed in George Brett and it just had a couple of 83's and they were more like in action, but I didn't see hundreds of them.

Thanks,

BRobby05

Where have you been getting all of these obscure player photos?

Merk, you going to give us all a hint where you found all of these gems? Thank you very much!

I have not seen many Topps Vault photos for 1983. It seems like most of their offerings cut off about 1980. There are many photos of the guys listed that do not have a specific year listed or are pre-1980. Here are a couple of 1979 Topps Vault George Brett as well as an undated Darryl Motley. If these are of any help, I and many others here, will be able to post many items. Thank you for your help.

I do see from the uniforms that you posted that the 83 Royals had button up tops. Here is a 1983 photo of Frank White with the button up top.

One more option: Would cropped photos from actual cards be of any help? Here is the photo of Paul Splitorff that was used on his 1984 Fleer baseball card.
