I've started to put together this 1930 recalc league. Calling it Radio Days Baseball. It's just about ready to go and I will probably start a sign-up thread here within the next few days.
I'm just trying to wrap up the recruiting for my Dugout Wizards league first (only two teams left) so I'm not recruiting two leagues at the same team.

I could put all the GMs into random.org's list randomizer and have it spit out an order we can use for guys to pick their teams. Another option would be to use state lotteries - we take 16 states with pick 4 lotteries (and nearly every state has one so finding them's easy) and assign a pick # to each state. Easiest would be go north-to-south starting in the northeast (so we stay in the Eastern time zone) with Maine determining #1, New Hampshire #2, Massachusetts #3, Vermont #4 and so on. The way that works is each guy gets a range of 625 numbers 001-625, 626-1250, etc all the way up to 9376-0000 and if the lottery falls within that range that guy "wins" that pick. In the event multiple state's numbers fall in the same range, we use the "Price is Right" method where the next nearest guy's range without going over gets the pick. We could either assign the slots based on when guys signed up or give guys their choice of slot based on when they signed up. The second method has the benefit of being completely transparent - lottery results are all online and everyone can follow them as they're posted. But I am willing to do the random.org thing if that's the preference since it's less confusing. I might have to put in a rule though that if I don't get Washington whoever does has to trade me Joe Cronin

If we are signing up, I would like to be included, sounds like a lot of fun with stock teams and having a fair chance at our favorite teams is good. Thanks

I've started a thread for the league: http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...ng-1930-a.html
This way we can track who's signed up, what lottery slot they have, etc and ultimately what team they're running. I went through this thread and noted the names of the guys who expressed interest in signing up.
