Aphyne, for example, will end up with one of the players already introduced. Not saying who, but she will, in time, if I'm able to progress this dynasty far enough. And other women will appear as well in time. Just have to wait and see how things develop here for the story and Slaabovia, et cetera.
Just as many are doing with legendsports's story about Rufus and his family, for example. Very good writing in the related threads, not only from him, but also Tiger Fan and others, for sure. CD out.

Well, maybe in time, players from Israel might make it into your leagues if they haven't already. Think you could share your IPA Hall of Fame soon, and let us know how many players in it are from various countries so far? Just curious, you see. CD out.

As far as continuing a backstory, I am not good at that... never have been able to get player personalities and conflicts in my dynasty leagues... I don't do dialogue very well... I'm just a pretty good sportswriter... I just give the facts and not much else... my dynasties are "stats dumps"... I just cover the league in generic terms and give a lot of statistics. I also try to present my dynasty leagues well... with good writing, good presentation... and the absolute best graphics I can get as far as logos, jerseys and caps... I think good graphics are an important element in a good dynasty report... along with good storylines. The really good dynasties, in my opinion, get involved in the player's and management's lives... and the really good ones have a good sense of humor, too. |

Maybe in time, God will give you the ability to provide good backstories for your teams, whether in the IPA or the NIRL, better. But continue to do the best you can, with His leading, and I think you'll do just fine. No matter what you do in relation to your leagues and all, continue to do the best you can, Eugene.
I'll try to do better in terms of storytelling here, but I still have weaknesses, just as anyone who writes does, no doubt. I don't know how much is due to my AS, or how much because of other things, but I could stand to improve in various writing-related matters, I'm sure. I'd like to see more about the leagues you've created in the past, like the State Line League, for example, but if you can't share more about any of your leagues or the histories of them, et cetera, then so be it. You are a good writer, and better than me in many areas of such activity, to be sure. Keep up the great work, and may God bless you and yours richly in the future, as I'm certain He's already done quite often in the past. Your mother seems to be someone I think I would have liked to know, based on your descriptions of her in your NIRL reports. But she lived in a different time, no doubt, so I don't think we would have ever met in reality, seeing where you come from and where I have, in our country. Take care, and God bless you always, as He wills, when He wills, I hope. CD out.

CD, you should use this thread for graphics for your Slaabovian Republic League... just graphics.
You should use your Dynasty Forum thread for comments on the dynasty league itself... not here... this is for graphics. Apparently you are not going to get any help for your SBL graphics here... it has been here for quite some time... almost a year... and I'm the only person that has helped you. If you want more help on your graphics... I would help make them for you... but as you know, my work is just average and not so good. My work is inferior to the good graphics guys like txranger, knuckler, low, Lawn Loaf, Iseldelyod and several others... but it's better than nothing. All I can do is logos, jerseys and caps... no maps. You need to let this thread live or die on its own. Last edited by Eugene Church; 07-12-2019 at 08:03 PM. |

CD needs help for Slaabovian Baseball Confederation
I need a preferably non-circular and non-square logo or two for the Slaabovian Baseball Confederation and also similar logos also not circular or square for its two subleagues, the Golden Sun Association and the National Union Association. These leagues are already in existence in my first OOTP 19 dynasty/saved game, by the way.
I want the produced SBC logo or logos to be mostly in red, yellow, and blue, please. GSA-related ones mostly in blue and gold. NUA-related ones mostly in red, orange, and black or brown. Feel free to let your mind or minds take you as it or they will, within reason. However, I want the general aesthetic looks to be along the lines of the 1871 to 1900 timeframe, but maybe with some mostly moderate, at best, foreign hints of influence from nations like China, Denmark, the UK, Israel, Japan, and the USA, for example. Thank you for your time and assistance here, anyone who may try and help me here. For more information, please see my other Slaabovia-related threads, if and when you like, or feel free to ask for it. CD out.

CD needs help for Folliston Scholars
I need a full team set of items for the Folliston Scholars that will logically flow towards the first set for the Folliston Cupids. The Scholars began play in 1871 as part of the Slaabovian Baseball Confederation's Golden Sun Association, and we are approaching the 1874 season of play, so any looks should largely reflect the relevant timeframe accordingly, similar to the league-related logos requested in another thread.
Main colors featured should be red, white, pink, and blue. Would prefer logos that are not circular or square, if possible. Other than the above conditions, you will have full artistic freedom to design items for the Scholars as you see fit here. Any questions, you know what to do. Thanks. CD out.

About to hit 1875. Would like to see a set suitable for the 1875-1890 or so timeframe, please, as soon as possible, but not sure that I can do it sufficiently well for the time period in question, unfortunately. This is for my Cosmic Baseball 001 dynasty/saved game with OOTP 19, by the way. Can anyone please help? Thanks in advance if so. CD out.

How do I keep all the names of players, at least, in a certain game world from changing, when I just want to change all the names from only one certain league? Anyone have any idea how to do that, without changing every other possible player's name in said game world? Please advise, if so. Thank you. CD out.

EC, you want to try to take a stab of sorts at the two recent threads I posted related to the main, if not only, predecessor of the Slaabovian Republic League, perhaps? As you've previously recommended, I've not requested all the needed logos and team-related sets at the same time. Or do you know anyone who might be willing to try to do any or all of them here, by any chance?
Thanks for your time and all. And just to refresh your memory, you were going to post the Hall of Fame for your IPA dynasty/saved game, eventually, weren't you? CD out.

The Graphics Forum is almost dead except for the Stickied Threads. If I were you, I would just select my teams from those Stickied Threads and use them... that way, you get high quality logos, jerseys and caps... you just don't get to pick the town or the nicknames. This is what I have been doing for my North Island Recreational League... all of the teams have been taken from Stickied Threads of txranger, knuckler, low and Lawn Loaf... and a few others I have seen on the Forum in just individual threads. I plan to do the same thing, if and when I create a South Island Recrerational League...it is just in the planning stages... not sure I want to take on the additional work... the NIRL with 12 teams keeps me quite busy. As far as my Islandian Pro Alliance Hall of Fame, that will take some time... right now I am finishing up the 2060 season... but I will post the IPA Hall of Fame after I complete all of the Awards and wrap us the season. What do you have for the Blue Sox, in terms of graphics, and player profiles based on the characters from the Blue Sox series of stories by Duane Decker? Or profiles based on characters in Clair Bee's Chip Hilton series of books, for instance, at that?
I remember that one of the books that Decker wrote in the Blue Sox series mentioned above was "Good Field, No Hit," and it was about a third baseman named Johnny Madigan, if I remember correctly. Eddie Lasky also was one of the main players, as was Bix Hanson, and so were Vic Valenti and Mike Jaffe, among others, come to think of it. I think the last time I was actually able to read one of the books from Decker's series was more than twenty or thirty years ago, but could be wrong about that. I used to read a lot of sports books, for instance, when I was still young and in school. The aforementioned series by Decker is one reason why I wanted to have a Blue Sox team in at least one of my dynasties in one or more leagues. However, I don't think it is going to be very easy to get copies of all the stories in question now, in decent enough condition, seeing as the author's likely been dead at least half a century, if not longer, and they might be out of print by now, for quite some time. Talk more later, I hope. Still not receiving emails related to my subscribed threads, unfortunately, EC. Wonder what's keeping that from happening here, to be honest. I even tried sending Markus and Lukas some PMs about certain things, but they apparently haven't seen or read them yet. Any ideas? Keep up the updates on your threads, as best as you can, and I'm finding them quite entertaining and informative, among other things, as well. Shalom, my friend and brother in Christ, as the Lord wills and all, of course. CD out.

CD, I found about 15 books by Duane Decker at my local library.
I used all of the Blue Sox players in my Islandian Pro Alliance... got all of the player ratings from reading the books. Eddie Lasky, Yank Yoland and Bix Hanson were pitchers. Pete Gibbs was a catcher. Marty Blake was a first baseman... power hitter... Stretch Stookey replaced him... a contact hitter, but standout fielder. I'm doing this from memory. Bud Walker was a second baseman. Johnny Madigan was a third baseman. Andy Pearson was a shortstop... so was Eddie Lasky before he became a star pitcher... I think a leg injury forced him to become a pitcher. Egotistical Slick Hammel was a real good hitter, but not strong defensively... Bud Walker eventually took second base from him. Kenny Willard was an outfielder... right field, maybe... Willard was black... the only one on the team... that was something when these books were written. Augie Marshall was a left fielder... home-run hitter. Mike Jaffe was an outfielder. Russ Woodward was the center fielder... he replace Vic Valenti. Pete Fiske was a right fielder... contact hitter... just a fair fielder. Last edited by Eugene Church; 08-09-2019 at 09:07 PM. |

CD, Markus and Lukas are very busy people... they just don't have time to answer individual emails.
Your best bet is to post your questions IN THE APPROPRIATE FORUM... I find that Lukas occasionally answers questions. You just hope that other gamers not connected to the OOTP Development Team will answer your questions. Answers are hard to come by these days on the OOTP20 Discussions Forum... it takes me days to get a few answers to my questions about the game... sometimes I get no answers. Same thing on the OOTP Graphics Forum... very, very few people will do logos, jerseys and caps anymore... the only people that do them are people who specialize in one type of style... high school (Lawn Loaf), fictional teams (low) and retro style (txranger)… and it's hard to get them to do a custom set for you... occasionally they will. The OOTPB Graphics Forum looks like it is dying out... there are very few posts anymore... it is rare that you can get custom work done there anymore. I just download the good logos, jerseys and caps that appeal to me and save them for any new league that I may start... not much hope in getting them done the way I would like them where I choose names, colors and styles. The good old days are gone from the Graphics Forum. Last edited by Eugene Church; 08-09-2019 at 09:23 PM. |
