Thanks, Tx... Just got back from OOTPMods, and downloaded No Pepper's PCL. Very nice - I had the 'old' 'classic minors' already, so hadn't been looking for others. No Pepper's will work just fine. I'm setting up my mega league this weekend, I'll post updates once I get it going, be great to see lots of these uni's and logos in action.
By the way... I helped my 10 year old son download the zipped collection mentioned a few pages back, and he's having a ball dropping teams from MLB and replacing them with gems from this thread. Nice chance for me to work on math with him, showing him how to compute averages, fielding percentages, etc. Thanks again.. and as long as my guys (the Angels) can't decide whether they want to win or not, if they are out I'm rooting for Texas - lived there from 1998-2000, about a 10 minute walk from the Ballpark (bet that's pricier ground now, with the Cowboy's stadium next door!).. went to a few games wearing my Tim Salmon jersey, and the folks I ran across couldn't have been nicer. Loved my time in the DFW area, and plan to move back when I retire in 15-20 years or so. |

Hey tx, when you have the time, I loved that Kansas City Comets logo you whipped on page 89 or so. Would you mind creating a single uni with the logo as inspiration? It had an ABA feel to it and I would love to have one that has that colorful, nostalgic feel

I'm looking for a St. Louis Aviators logo, uniform and hat set. Main color is blue with a minor color of red. However, if someone comes up with something really cool using others colors that would be great also.
Thanks, Brin |

I'd love to have the template for these, but I don't think it's available in PSD format, is it? I have a few templates from the forums and the mod site, but they don't have all the layers used here.

This might be the best uniform I have seen yet for OOTP. There have been a lot of great ones over the years from a variety of designers, but this one stands out to me as perhaps the most creative and impressive one.
Then again, I was also a fan of the 1970's Astros uniforms, so I might have different tastes than the next person. ![]() |

Maybe you're referring to knuckler and txranger when it comes to donations. I haven't contributed much to this thread, but if you ever want to make a donation to the OOTPMods.com website that I run, there is a PayPal link on the site.

anyone who contributes like yourself, and txranger and knuckler are at least worthy of consideration of donations. Near year-end, I'm sure many of us Americans think about donating to charities and the like, and maybe forget the little guys such as them who are also worthy

The Bingo Long Traveling All-Stars & Motor Kings
I was searching for baseball themed movies to watch the other day and came across this one... I know I had heard of this movie before then, but for some reason had never watched it... After seeing the colorful jerseys, I just had to make a set... Though an older movie (1976) it was a hoot to watch and quite entertaining... Kinda gives you a brief comedic look into some of the things the negro teams of that era had to deal with..
The Bingo Long Traveling All-Stars & Motor Kings (1976) is a comedic sports film about a team of enterprising ex-Negro League baseball players in the era of racial segregation. Loosely based upon William Brashler's novel of the same name, it starred Billy Dee Williams, James Earl Jones and Richard Pryor. Directed by John Badham, the movie was produced by Berry Gordy for Motown Productions and Rob Cohen for Universal Pictures, and released by Universal on July 16, 1976. Negro League tie-ins Some characters and situations are loosely based upon real-life people and incidents. Badham grew up in Birmingham, Alabama and was familiar with the Birmingham Black Barons, who shared Rickwood Field with the white Birmingham Barons.[1] Bingo Long is based on former-Black Baron Le Roy "Satchel" Paige. Early in his career, Paige would call in his outfield while leading in the ninth inning against an amateur or semi-pro team and strike out the side. Bingo did a similar stunt in this movie. Leon Carter is a Josh Gibson-like power hitter, even playing the same position (catcher). "Esquire" Joe Callaway is an amalgam of another Black Baron, Willie Mays (in personality, talent, and fielding position) and Jackie Robinson (as being signed by a white team at the film's end). The Traveling All-Stars & Motor Kings were loosely based on the Indianapolis Clowns and other barnstorming Negro baseball teams, who likewise engaged in Harlem Globetrotters-like clowning routines.
