So I see a 1901 94 rated Cy Young card on the auction house and sell of Mike Hampton to ensure I can afford him. I buy the Young card for 14,999 and throw him in the rotation to start right away, figuring with him and a 98 rated Steve Carlton I should be in good shape next season.

Well, good old Cy Young gets shelled for 8 runs in the first inning of his debut and manages to retire just one batter before Whitey Ford has to come on in relief.

Young's debut went like this: walk, single, single, double, single, single, triple, ground out (but the guy on third scored) and another single before he hit the showers for the night.

Since it's the end of the season in 2 games Young will finish the year with a nice 216.00 era.

Oh, and the loss officially eliminated us from a wild card berth and Carlton got hammered 7-1 the next day.
It looks like your pitching coach had a lot of faith in good ol' Cy to get out of this

It took a 163rd game to eliminate San Pedro from the last wild card spot in I167. They were drubbed by Seattle 10-4. Cecil Cooper went 4-4 with 2 HR's and 5 RBI for the winners.

Good luck to all of you playoff bound OL'ers today.

Annadale Holds On in OL S254

Palolo began their final home series against Asylum atop the OL S254 standings, having surged past the Atom Smashers. They were 4-0 against the Keepers going in, but melted like shaved ice in the hot sun, dropping three straight to come up short. The Atom Smashers held on to win their second OL crown. By the way, the previous standings contained incorrect entries for NYP and PRM. In my haste to get them up yesterday, I didn't have time for my usual final check. They are now correct.

Simply Smashing!

The Silver crown. BTW, I could use a "clean" copy of the Annandale logo, if you have one. This one was copied from PT.

I167 Final Update 2028`

Arkham wins another crown!

Seattle made a final push but Arkham's lead was too big and the Horrors bring home the Iron crown again. Congrats to Arkham and good luck to the playoff teams.

And speaking of playoff teams, we got 'em!

Philadelphia - AC East
Redmond - AC Central
Seattle - AC Wild Card
New Zealand - NC East
Arkham - NC Wild Card

The possibility of an all-OL final 4 still exists!

I don't know if this is tracked, but I suspect Melaka's 101 OL games is a record for OL games in one season. Don't ask me why they got 101 when everyone else got 100... but it checks out so I'm going with it as being correct.

Code:
Final Our League Standings - I167 - Oct 6, 2028
			 W L Pct
Arkham Horrors 28	12	.700
Redmond Defenders	60	40	.600
Pa Athletic Club	35	30	.538
Mudville Muffins	49	48	.505
Gotham Knights 50	50	.500
Victoria Vikings	17	19	.472
San Pedro Cerranos	26	30	.464
Seattle Endless Summer	29	34	.460
Fancher Creek Pirates	45	55	.450
Stephensville Bears	17	21	.447
Melaka Armada 45	56	.446
NZ Silver Ferns 12	18	.400

Kaneohe Breezes to Third Crown in OL G332

The Mokes took their third crown with little trouble, thanks to a dominating performance against the Classics. They also had a .647 winning percentage in their other OL games, earning the most lopsided title we've seen.

Three's Company

I will happily re-post the Mokes crown with their actual logo, which is nicer, if you'll send or post a copy.

It hasn't been tracked, but I'm sure it is. By the way, the odd extra game is probably from OOTP's penchant for scheduling non-division opponents to 7 games. My numbers also had them with 101. Thanks for your work.

Aina Haina Holds off Green Lake in OL D358

The Parakeets won their third crown, their first since going back-to-back in 2021-22, as they held off a late charge by the Green Lake Cowboys.
