You already submitted that contract and were approved for the signing of Salvador Sanchez to Villebillie Boxing Gym. Make sure you check the list already put up for his debut fight.

No problem, always good to work with good promoters/trainers/managers.

Morales has no mandatory for his FECOMBOX title.
There is a scheduled LABA title fight already between Peralta and Corrales.
If you have any ideas about what you want to do with Morales, let me know. Do you want to keep him busy with a non-title fight?

BBC Title Rematch

The BBC has decided to allow an immediate rematch fight to Jack Gardner.

BBC Champion, Bob Fitzsimmons, England, 20-2-1 (20) will be required to fight a rematch with UK's, Jack Gardner, 17-3-1 (16) in April 1955. Both fighters met in January of this year and fought to a draw.

Balls of STEEL, Rom! What a match-up for a debut fight for each boxer! Man, I am hyped, I think I may move this fight up to the beginning of the month!

I'm glad you like the fight Btown. I figure that Wilde is a bad dude so he doesn't need to face a bunch of creampuffs and that you like to throw in one or two tough cats in each list so I figured I just take the baddest, meanest bastard I could find.

Hamed wins huge debut over Wilde

Jimmy Wilde, Wales, Pro Debut vs Naseem Hamed, England, Pro Debut

Millenium Stadium, Cardiff, Wales. What a great month of boxing in the history of U.K. Pugilism! Several top amateurs will enter the professional ranks this month including Jim Watt, Alan Minter, Ken Buchanan, Benny Lynch, Amik Khan and Ricky Hatton. But today may be the greatest debut of two fighters challenging each other from the United Kingdom, ever! Jimmy "The Mighty Atom" Wilde enters the ring with an amateur record of 137-5-2 (99). Naseem "The Prince" Hamed enters the ring with an amateur record of 36-1-0 (33). Wilde starts the contest with a flurry and dominates the beginning of the fight, 16-1. Hamed seems to be struggling to find any type of rhythm as Wilde wins the 2nd, 9-0. A closer third, 14-8, still favors the smaller Wilde. What a 4th round, 14-14. Wilde is cut from an uppercut in the 5th but is allowed to continue. A couple of shots delivered to the gash has really elevated the level of bleeding and it looks like the fight is being stopped as the crowd starts to whistle their disapproval.

Winner: Hamed
Result: (TKO5)(Cuts)
Cards: 40-37, on all three cards in favor of Wilde
Punch stats: 121-252, 48% Wilde - 66-199, 33.2% Hamed

Damn, Wilde looked good in that fight until that damn cut. Oh well, still don't have no regrets taking that fight and I tend to keep challenging Wilde. He'll get another shot at Hamed a few fights down the road.

Winslow returns to the ring and shows no rust...

Donald "Doomsday" Winslow, USA, 5-1-0 (5) vs Francis Royal, USA, 4-0-1 (3)

West Wendover, UT, USA. Winslow returns to the ring after a slight setback and first professional loss in December 1954. "Doomsday" is anxious to get back into the ropes and opens up early, taking the 1st two rounds. Francis puts up a good defense and scores with some nice shots in round three. Winslow lands a big hook to the temple and Royal collapses to the canvas. There is no need for a count.

Winner: Winslow
Result: (KO4)
Cards: 29-28, 29-28, 30-27, all three cards in favor of Winslow
Punch stats: 46-86, 53.5% Royal - 128-305, 42% Winslow

FOY candidate ends with Savon getting off the canvas to pull out a victory...

Felix Savon, Cuba, 14-1-0 (12) vs Livin Castillo, Ecuador, 11-4-0 (9)

Santa Clara, Cuba. Felix Savon is looking to move up in the CABO, CABOFE and LABA rankings with an impressive showing tonight. Savon takes the first with effective punching, but the "Ecuadorian Hitman" unloads in the 2nd and 3rd and puts Savon on his heels. Savon is down at the end of the 4th. Three rounds to one for Castillo. Castillo is just dropping bombs, 19-12, Castillo in the 5th. Savon's left eye is swelling up pretty bad. Savon is very lethargic but suddenly doubles up on the left hook and drops Castillo to the canvas here in the 7th. We have a fight here now as we enter the 8th. Savon is caught and drops after a delayed reaction. 21-5 in the 8th for Castillo. A beautiful counter-cross puts Castillo down in the 9th. A combination puts Castillo down again and this incredible fight comes to an end at the 2:13 mark as Castillo is unable to get up. What a turn of events. Castillo was opening up again at the beginning of the round but kept his punch out there too long and got countered with a perfect punch. The rest is history.

Winner: Savon
Result: (KO9)
Cards: 77-72, 76-73, 76-73, all three cards in favor of Castillo
Punch stats: 223-505, 44.2% Castillo - 149-487, 30.6% Savon
