Pitcher Josh Zeid was a Phillies minor leaguer traded to Houston as part of the Hunter Pence to Philadelphia deal very near the Trade Deadline two years ago (7/29/11).
Cody Asche was drafted from the University of Nebraska only two years ago. He rocketed through the Phillies minor league system to earn his promotion yesterday. His Progression: 2011- NY-Penn Lg. (short season rookie league); 2012- Florida State Lg. - (High A) and Eastern Lg. (AA); 2013 - International Lg. (AAA) and major Lgs. - NL -Phila. Phillies.

Guys with very brief MLB careers

Bob Lipski was a catcher in 2 games with the 1963 Cleveland Indians.

John Sevcik was a catcher in 12 games for the 1965 Minnesota Twins.

Bill McNulty OF-3B appeared in 5 games in 1969 and 4 games in 1972 aith the Oakland A's.

These were the total MLB careers for these players.

Checking this site and seeing images for Mr Sevcik brings a smile to this poster's face. My father played on the same Mizzou baseball team with John that was national runner up in '64.....

Must be Rudy Kinard who attended the Expo's 1975 training camp. Number 17 behind is Larry Biitner. And in the alphabetical suite of the Topps GH series he comes after Bruce Kimm and before a Dodger and Clyde King.
