Lee Mazzilli
The current FG in the database is a little bit too yellow for my taste so I gave him a make over...

Larry Landreth
Larry Landreth made his professional debut as an 18-year-old in 1973, pitching for the Expos’ low-A affiliate in Jamestown, N.Y. He didn’t know it then but signing with Canada’s only MLB team at the time was a career killer. Montreal had a reputation for rushing prospects, unlike Baltimore, which tried to sign Landreth moments after he agreed to join the Expos. “As a Canadian, it was good to play for Montreal,” he said. “I got to know a lot of people. But, at the same time, they expected you to come right off the bat and (contribute), where other teams kind of bring you along. It happens to a lot of young pitchers. They want success at that point, and it’s hard.”
Landreth’s MLB career was short. He finished with a 1-4 record over two seasons, throwing 20.1 innings. His 6.64 ERA and 2.31 WHIP (walks and hits per inning pitched) was largely a result of being rushed to the majors and never getting comfortable with the franchise. - The Stratford Beacon Herald Redid the facegen. I used the black & white screen grab from the youtube montage of his local Ontario HOF induction. I elongated the face and extended the chin a bit as the other pics seemed along those lines. |

percolaten,
I have not tried Frank Thomas in some time. I made myself one a few years ago but got frustrated with the same bloating problem that Bonds has. Even though Frank is 6' 5", the weight in-game of 257 plumps him up alot and the facegen software can't mitigate it because OOTP jump auto-plumps him again. The 257 lbs the game has is better than fangraphs listing of 275lbs but worse than bRef which has 240lbs. If the game used something like 245lbs, the necessary weight would be in the facegen itself and not needing any plumping. For those too young to remember, Frank Thomas was heavy but look at those arms! [link below] - the weight was not in his face during his playing days. I saw him in Spring Training in the early 90's and I swear he was the largest, most powerful looking man I'd ever seen. And he was standing next to Bo Jackson! This was the fg file. I loaded it in the facegen software, and I think it looks great there, but it would take me some time reworking it to try and make it work at the in-game weight. I'll do so eventually but if you want to see how this one looks in the immediate term, I won't withhold it since you asked explicitly ![]() https://www.reddit.com/r/whitesox/co..._frank_thomas/ Last edited by LansdowneSt; 02-01-2022 at 09:44 PM. |

This one is better than any valiant efforts at doing him so far. Thank you!

Hal Dues
https://www.baseball-reference.com/r...d=dues--001hal I won't lie... I did him with two different pictures and even if both are better than what is in the database I wouldn't call any of them great. First card is the database version, second is version 1 and third is version 2

https://www.baseball-reference.com/r...d=lopez-002car Missing from the database, at least no FG load for 1977 in my simulation. Not a great result (the yellow curse continue to follow me) but it's better than a random game created one...

Rob Picciolo
https://www.baseball-reference.com/r...d=piccio001rob Edit: I haven't found a facial hair picture I was able to work with (shadow, smile, etc.) but feel free to post a new FG if you can do one since I always prefer FG with facial hair...

https://www.baseball-reference.com/r...d=seoane002man Looks like he isn't in the database, at least the game loaded a random FG for him in my simulation..

Thanks for all of those (and thanks to AESP_Pres for his Haas, too).
Also finishing the year in Big Shea is Robert Willet, the former All-America 3B from Ohio University. (The Mets have him in the OF.) ![]() Unfortunately, Ohio used a contemporary pic when inducting Willet into their Athletics Hall of Fame in 2015, but even if you don't want to try de-aging him, I'm guessing you know where to find the appropriate yearbook, so…thanks in advance. |

Stargell Stars
I'm so grateful to the folks who create all the amazing facegens on here, I decided to reciprocate how I can and send a link to the logos and graphics forum where I posted my version of a "We Are Family"-era Pirates cap with "Stargell Stars" on it. The link's below, here's Phil Garner sporting it:

Terry Cornutt
https://www.baseball-reference.com/r...d=cornut001ter His FG in the database looks a little bit weird to me so I gave him a make over. Notice that I wasn't able to remove the smile entirely so I let a link to the picture I used since I know that some of us can remove smile from picture with other tools I don't have. https://www.comc.com/Cards/Baseball/...ornutt/3022385

Milkar Perez
CBLCardinals,
The four prospects you gave us were very young and I couldn't get them to import in my game. Absent that I made the facegens and you'll just have to see how they work for you. For the two with bRef IDs, I used that whereas the other two are saved in the First_Last name convention. Here's the first: Milkar Perez Last edited by LansdowneSt; 02-03-2022 at 05:21 PM. |
