Correct! The Pirates have the most pennants with 8, ahead of us by 1 and the A's by 2.

Of those that haven't made it, only the Cubs has got to a World Series (in '03, losing to us).

Sadly for supporters of those clubs, I don't see that changing for the moment with none looking anywhere near competitive at present. The Indians had an aggressive offseason but the Yanks' time is upon us and they'll be tough to dislodge.

The Yankees might be better than the real-life early 1920s teams--and that's before you factor in Lou Gehrig (aka the Iron Horse), who'll be joining the Yankees in 1923...

Hell, at least these Yankees don't look like they'd blow a 5-run lead in one horrible inning (yes, 2024 Yankees, I'm looking right at you)...

Nor do their "fans" try to rip the ball from an outfielder's glove...

Lou comes to them next season as a minor-leaguer.

I reckon the Cards will give them a hard time in this WS but the Ken Williams acquisition is a good one for the Yanks.
