More stats, especially career stats.

All the possible relevany season stats should be carried over to career stats e.g. 1st, 2nd 3rd stars, F rel % etc.

Would be great if the shot quality data could be reformatted in the CSV output (either by separating the columns or including totals in the 'player_skater_stats_xx' csvs.

As someone who doesn't like the volume of messages in the News feature.

Combine all the streaks. milestones etc.. into one daily NHL (or other league) news release, and preferably with more context..

Create some kind of 'Trade Centre' screen where there is a list of
completed trades, trade rumours, players on trade block, players with
no trade/movement clauses etc...

Ability to generate a scouting report at anytime and by positions I choose,
rather than having to wait for a monthly report that only shows my weak
positions.

Reverse shopping - have AI controlled teams shop a random player, you can see (or not see) what other teams have
offered for them, then make your own offer and wait to see if it gets accepted.

Not a fan of this one. I prefer the single messages. I like the quick look at who the player is, what team they play for and what they are rated. Instead of having to rely on the popup that seems to be finicky.

Apparently there still isn't a job board for open GM or Head Coach positions that the player could apply for?

That would be #1 on my wishlist for FM11 because it just ruins the immersion for me that I can't further my career by applying new job opportunities. And if Football Manager is the reference for sport management sims, they've had it always and it works great (especially the negotiation part for the contract).

I think the option to turn retired players into coaches/scouts would be a great option, like others have mentioned, which beats searching for unknown staff with no career coaching staff and editing their profile.

With the mention of stats and what not throughout this thread - it would be good (as I believe the 2D engine helps with event location data tracking etc) if possible to add some more advanced stats as detailed in this short clip here where SportLogiq took a look at the Canada Cup in 87. Slot passes/cmp% for playmakers, more details on odd man rushes and scoring chances created by individual players would be great for a detailed analysis.

Please re add the ability to negotiate your own contract instead of the auto renewal. I know it was mentioned in the past it was removed because people would sim past it and lose their jobs. Couple more things.

With historical editing, have the ability to activate/reactivate/deactivate leagues at anytime. For example if I want the WHA to begin in 1960,
or the PCHA or NHA to deactivate but then restart again in 1940 as
a competitor to the NHL.

Fix the issues with the NHA so the league can continue after 1917 if you
want it to..

With the deflating news that the Capitals have acquired CapFriendly and the announcement that the site will go dark in early July - there are a couple of tables that I love and have always thought could be a nice add for FHM, a little frivolity stat. Could be included under the league in general - part player production/part financial etc.

I would love to see proper contract duals between rival leagues like NHL and WHA and NHA and PCHA. Players just seem to get locked into a contract and they will stay with that team or in that league and only seem to become available once the team folds.

Would be cool to see things like Greed,Loyalty etc. play into the players decisions to jump to a rival league or stay.

Would also be nice to have more things to offer players then just money like Playing Time, Leadership Roles etc to possibly attract them to your team and maybe have the player become upset if you go back on some of these promises.

Hall of fame for online leagues. It would be really cool if you could vote for the hall of fame in the online leagues too. Also all star teams and award voting in both offline saves and online.

Would love to see the addition of PIM Drawn as a player stat, as well as just PIM (awarded against) which is already present.. I'm not sure if that is already tracked under the hood on a per penalty basis, laying the framework for something like this.

As not all takeaways/giveaways are made equal.

News for playoff series

the news messages after playoff series was a great addition but could get more informations included.

a) show series standing after each game
1-0 after game 1, 1-1 after game 2, ...

b) show top3 players (goals, points) of each team of the series

c) show goalie stats (GAA, SVP) in this series
