Unfortunately all of my previous 2D icons don't work that well in the latest FHM10. The icons cannot be facing any direction if I want to switch ends between periods. At the same time I really want to be able to see some type of representation of the jerseys on the ice.

So, I will be updating the icons in this new style (NY Rangers shown below):

These work best with "Jersey Number Center" option enabled. Since the numbers are all black, they won't show up for some of the dark jerseys (such as the Ducks home uni):

It will take me some time to finish all 32 teams. I will release a pack once everything is done.

Awesome work dude - these are actually the sort of thing that the game should ship with as they're the perfect middle ground between a more detailed icon (like the players from your previous work) and the current single colour squares! Look forward to seeing the finished pack when done.

Let me share the Western Conference teams first. I have decided to change the format and alignment a little bit.

Having numbers at the center of the icon doesn't always look good. It really depends on jersey design and colors. So, in the end, my FHM10 icons will work best with "only name" or any other option that puts the number/name at the top or top-right corner.

Historical icons

This pack contains the original SIX and the expansion teams in 1967 & 1970. All 14 NHL uniforms at the time are included, plus the California Seals who became the Golden Seals in 1970 (I am skipping Oakland Seals since the difference is minor).

Thanks for all your great work on these Canuck. I'm still finishing a season on FHM 9 and really like the player images that you made for FHM9. Why won't they work so well for Version 10?

Oh perhaps I should have explained better. My bad!

Previous icons won't be completely useless in FHM10. Just make sure you turn off the "switch end" option so teams always face the same direction. The player images will work exactly as they did before. That option is there in FHM9 as well. It's just me who feels like changing up the format so my icons can support the switch end function starting this year.

Do you have a template your willing to share for the ones for FHM 10? Would love to try and make some for the WHA dynasty I'm doing. These are almost mandatory for 2d mode and IMHO should be included in the game.

Here you go. This is in PSD format with a border and blank layer. I left a few sample stripes and collar as reference. This is not as complete or robust as jersey maker (nor does it have to be, since icons are small and simple).

Is there anyway you can make them not be backwards in fhm 10, so like the 2nd period they all turn backwards

Unfriendly no. If you have "Switch sides" checked that will happen and no way around it. The solution Canuck found was to use the square jersey icons like he switched to later in this thread.

New year + new hockey season + new FHM = update to 2D icons!

3 notable changes are Anaheim, LA, and the addition of Utah. All other icons are the same as last year.

Hey Canuck, I replied a couple years ago in here asking for Brown Univ. icons. Just wanted to say I'm still using these player/goalie icons you made and it has helped so much with immersion.

I've also recommended it to people as well. I know you've moved on to doing the squares (which still look great), but I still love the skater icons. Thanks again for all your hard work on these!
