Gorillas' Small Measure of Revenge
Gas House kept Philadelphia's romp through the 2035 Our League season from being totally dominant, handing the Patriots their only series loss by taking two of three on the final days of the S370 schedule, and nearly cost Philadelphia a S370 Division title. Forced into a playoff game to rescue the lead they had held for the greater bulk of the S370 slate, the Patriots rode the right arm of Kevin Appier into the playoffs. Appier, slumping after a 19-win season in 2034, salvaged his, and his team's, campaign with a complete-game victory, his 12th.
Philadelphia will be the only team to carry the Our League banner into the S370 post-season. Aceldama slumped at the end to finish two games out, while Port Ruppert, a contender at the start of September, crashed and burned to finish well out of the race. Kakoola was never a factor. Gas House will have the off-season to contemplate how they can improve their Our League showing. Anything close to an even record in Our League would have afforded them an easy path into the S370 playoffs. The final standings: |

Our League Schedule for S284 (2036)
Our League kicks off its 7th season with 5 teams in tow, and a definite NC flavor. Port Ruppert and Philadelphia are in the West, Aceldama in the Central, and Gas House in the East. Unfortunately, Kakoola is in the AC East, with only three Our League games, all on the road, so they will be bystanders in the race for the title.
The scheduled games for the rest: Aceldama - 10 home, 11 away Gas House - 14 home, 9 away Philadelphia - 16 home, 17 away Port Ruppert - 16 home, 17 away Should have the first standings up tonight or tomorrow morning, depending how late the Our League games are simmed. Good luck to all. |

Mundys Return the Favor
Port Ruppert returned recharged, and raced to the top of Our League, serving notice to Philadelphia that it might not be so easy this season, sweeping the Patriots in an opening three-game series at Glorious Mundy Stadium. The Patriots continued to befuddle the Gorillas, taking two of three at Gas House Field. The Mundys also took a home series against Aceldama, 2-1.

Port Ruppert Continues to Set Pace
The Mundy seem to have found a solution to the Patriots, going 5-2 against them so far, and remaining atop the Our League standings. Running a little late, so the standings are:

Gorilla Top Mundys in Only Our League Series Today
There was scant Our League action on the board today in S284, with just one series, which saw Port Ruppert visit Gas House Field for a three-game set. In the opener, the Mundys drove Gorilla ace Roy Halladay from the game in the top of the first en route to an 8-3 win. Gas House survived a 9th inning scare in game two, building a 4-0 lead, only to see it evaporate as Jimmie Foxx and Rocky Colavito homered to trim the lead to one. Mariano Rivera came on to get the final out, and preserve the 4-3 Gas House victory. The Gorillas then rode the right arm of Joe Niekro, who spun a complete game, 3-hit, scoreless gem to seal the series triumph.

Port Ruppert Still Leading
The Mundys stumbled a bit, but then closed strong to maintain their Our League lead, by taking 3-of-4 from the Aceldama Butchers, while the Gas House Gorillas slipped by the Philadelphia Patriots into second.

Gorillas to Reapers: Thanks for Dropping By
Kakoola made their brief entry into the Our League fray for the 2036 season, and made a limping and hasty retreat. Gas House, meanwhile, was probably sorry to see them go, sweeping a 3-game series in convincing fashion. Philadelphia finally took the measure of Port Ruppert, capturing the first three games of a home series against the Mundys, who salvaged game four, still holding onto first place, but perhaps a bit less firmly. Aceldama had nothing on the Our League schedule in today's sims, and was probably grateful for the respite, as they continue to look up at the rest of the league, save Kakoola, who will finish with a tidy .000 winning percentage.
The Patriots still have 11 games remaining in their attempt to become the first Our League team to win three titles, which would be consecutive. Six of those contests are against the Mundys, the other team with two titles. Gas House has three games left to play, Aceldama seven. The standings: |

Mundys Hold On to Win Third Title
The Our League S284 season saw Port Ruppert build an early lead in the standings, and slowly descended from their perch, but with enough to cushion to end the Philadelphia Patriots' two-year reign as champions, and win their third title, the most of any team across the 7-year run of Our League. With Kakoola destined for relegation, and Aceldama in the S284 playoffs, there may not be enough franchises for an 8th season. The early success of Our League in attracting teams in PT 2.0, and the declining availability of players to add have, understandably, caused interest to wane. I will check in on occasion, and will post standings if there at least four teams in future seasons. I will also post an updated lifetime standings list.
