The first game of the rain rescheduled double header was called early due to the weather. Bad break for Toronto as they lost 2-1 to the Tigers in the 7th.

Will the second game be rained out? If not, why couldn't they wait and finish this one?

It seems that the Blue Jays were a little miffed about losing the chance to finish the first game, and they took it out on the Tigers in the second game.

Toronto pounded Detroit 13-4 behind FIVE homers, including TWO by Devon Travis and one each by Matt den Dekker, Josh Donaldson, and Colby Rasmus.

The Jays dropped a close one to the Tigers, falling 4-3.

The bigger news is that Daniel Norris hit Josh Donaldson in the face with a pitch. Josh has a broken cheekbone and will be out 5-6 weeks.

This long season just got longer.

Evan Gattis hit two home runs but it was his base loaded walk in the 12th that finally gave the Jays the lead for good. They beat the Red Sox 7-5.

Brett Oberholtzer made his season debut and was cruising in the 3rd when something popped and out of the game he came. The bullpen did their best but in the end the Jays fell to the Red Sox, 5-4.

Jordan Johnson pitched very well in his major league debut and only allowed two runs - only one earned - in 8 innings. That wasn't enough, however, as the Jays fell 5-1 to the A's.

Devon Travis left the game with injury and it is expected that he will ride the pine for a week.
