Marcus,

Just wanted to make sure you saw my suggestions ([posted in suggestion fopum...
they have been well received there and would add to the game

I think besides putting players on the block, it would be great it you could make a "wanted list " where you could
1)Request a certain position with either salary or rating limitations (For example say I want a 5 star 2nd baseman or a backup infielder etc) and then the AI offers you those types of players in trades. I know that they currently offer players on what they perceive you need, but i think or hope I know my needs better than them.

2)Put a player on your trading interest list. For example, iI could put a player from Cincinati on my trade interest list. Then if they are inclined the AI could make me offers throughout the season giving me that player. I bet this happens currently. For example, the Expos may know that the Indians or whoever could be interested in Vlad Guerrero and from time to time make offers for him.

3) Choose a mode for trading. For example you could choose pennant run or slary dump or build for future. If you choose salary dump, the AI could make offers for your expnesive players without putting them on the block. If you choose pennant run, the AI could offer their inpending free agents or expensive players (who are good) for your prospects.

Just some thoughts I had...

Markus,

I think the most important feature is for a person in an online league (with password on) to be able to scout the other teams. If there is a way, I can't figure it out. They need to be able to scout the teams through the eyes of their own scout.

Please reply.

I'd like to see a rebuilding feature for bad teams like the royals, where they won't fire you after 2-3 years. Its like a 5 year plan in manager mode to rebuild the team. These teams are more apt to trade vets for prospects.

Then a championship team, who is running for a world series would trade prospects for established players.

Dac4m, I really like all of your ideas. Hope they're possible from a programming standpoint.

Unfortunately, like real life, managers rarely get 5 year plans. They are lucky to get two in today's win now environments.
