Welcome back, J.D.!!!!!!! Pinch hit homer on first pitch puts the Tigers in the lead. They win the game! 8 game winning streak! 11 games over .500! Currently 2.5 back with Cleveland about to lose again. This is a wonderful feeling right now.

Most definitely! Especially at home. If we struggle with the Twins at home, what can we expect to do against playoff teams. Not sure I want this team to make the playoffs unless we get like Mariners-hot the final ten games of the season.

Buck Farmer?
Mike Pelfrey?
Anibal Sanchez?

Beyond Verlander, Fulmer, Norris, and Boyd, they don't really have any good options. I'd rather give Farmer a chance than Pelfrey or Sanchez. Not by much

. But, maybe the young guns have worn off on him and he'll be at least solid enough to hold down the runs while the offense scores enough to win. Maybe.

Twinkies are throwing out Dean with his near-seven ERA though and Verlander pitches the nightcap.

They have to take both games but I am actually pretty hopeful.

Definitely getting excited. I seriously thought they were done. But now they hold a WC spot! Some tough teams in KC and Cleveland, but playing them puts everything in their hands rather than hoping others knock them out.

Old but yet familiar demons reappear with that nightmare blown save by K-Rod yesterday. With the O's rallying to beat Arizona the night before and that blown save ...a tough pill to swallow
