The weather didn't cooperate today as the Jays lost a run shortened game to the White Sox, losing 5-3 in six innings.

Jose Bautista hit his 17th home run.

The Toronto batters woke up today, beating the Royals 9-5.

Maicer Izturis collected four hits, with a pair of RBI, while Jose Reyes and Russell Martin had three hits apiece.

Justin Morneau left the game with an injury. Word is that he is suffering from plantar fascitiis and will need to head to the D.L.

The game was called in the 8th due to bad weather but that went Toronto's way as they led the Royals 6-4 at the time.

Felix Pie hit his 2nd home run of the year. Caleb Gindl went 3 for 4 with a pair of RBI.

ALL STAR GAME

The National League CRUSHED the American League, beating them 16-6.

Jose Reyes and Josh Donaldson both played the full game. Reyes went 1 for 5. Donaldson went 0 for 4.

Russell Martin played behind the plate late in the game and went 0 for 1. Brandon Moss hit a pinch-hit single.

Brandon Finnegan pitched a third of an inning, giving up 3 runs on 4 hits, including a home run by Carlos Gonzalez.

Gonzalez was named MVP after collecting 6 RBI.
