OK, I hate Oakland as much as the next guy, mainly because of everyone's infatuation with Billy Beane and Michael Lewis's Moneyball. They do have my boy #35, so I at least have a single player over there I like.
Anyhow... Why the bunt in the 9th inning by Kendall? Isn't that forbidden with penalty of death or dismemberment? Did Macha call the play? Also, for a team that prides itself on the walk first philosophy, they only had 5 BB to 7 K's. Whats up with that? |

Moneyball completely destroyed my enjoyment of baseball.

So my Dad calls me at work and says my Uncle has 4 tickets for the game tonight...
Right on the field... Look for the guy in the goatee yelling WANG as much as possible. That'll be me.

Frank Thomas hitting a ground ball off Jeter's face was fun to watch.

One thing I hate about MLB TV is having to deal with other teams' announcers. The Yankees guys are busy drooling over Jeter's flip in Game 3 of the 2001 ALDS. :vomit:

The game was scheduled to go off air at 10 and "Friends" is supposed to come on. Of course, "Friends" is blacked out ... so they don't even stop to think there is a game on still and just black it out. Grrr.Given the ticket prices, I don't think I'll hit as many games this year. It's almost cheaper to go to a Giants game at AT&T Park (and get a better seat). The capacity at the Coliseum is now 35,000. The bigger question is what happens in October? Now they never fill those seats for the ALDS, but say the A's make the World Series. They certainly would open Upper Reserved and Mount Davis than, right? |
