I then traded for him in 1926 as the manager of the Indians. I moved on to the Phillies in 1927 while Ruth continues to plow along. Ruth has accumulated 12 MVP awards and 3 Triple Crowns, 1925, 1929, and 1930.

As you can see, I HAD to switch him to a full-time hitter as he was getting lit up as a pitcher.

In my opinion, the greatest player to ever play the game.
Here is mine

You got some staying power PainMantle

Here is a tip from someone who has been killed by 5 Dynasty Reports all the way back to OOTP5. You might want to spread out the posts such as giving a rundown of the offseason and Spring Training.

It's easy to get burned out with Dynasty reports

Of course, my last 2 were burned out by the game itself...got up to 1934 from 1901 last time...hard drive got full..lol

I need a new computer

I give a basic rundown of the off season, as far as Spring Training goes, last year was the first time I didn't play out all my ST games. (See page 78 of the dynasty) My Laptop died with the game open and when I came back to the game all the ST games were gone, "poof" vanished...I have no Idea what happened but I Couldn't fix it without going back to like August of the previous season. I have the game set up to save after each day so I really need to do a Backup much more often than I do...cause that particular crash wiped out ST and I was planning on training some players at different positions. So it really did suck

Thanks for your support and suggestions, they are greatly appreciated

You probably just offended Pie Traynor by not including him on the list

We are hitting .302 as a team but those damn Phillies are still above us at .303 Hack Wilson, Earl S Smith, Joe Hauser, Riggs Stephenson, Dave Bancroft if anyone scares us coming out of the NL it's that team, they are in 3rd in the NL currently 5 games back.

Browns Les Bell Retires

The St Louis Browns got bad news today when one of the best SS Prospects in the league and #12 Pick of the 1922 draft Les Bell was forced to retire due to a Hip Injury that just wouldn't heal!

Bell will have plenty of time to write his short stories now

That's sucks ... for he was a solid player ... In my Leagues, he was the best player to have, as a backup or filling in whenever one player get injured ...

Another Setback for Bell, Forced To Retire
Friday, August 17th, 1923
Word out of St. Louis is not clear yet, but according to an unidentified team source, Les Bell's baseball career might be over -- forever. BNN reported that the Browns shortstop has suffered a severe setback in his rehabilitation from a strained hip muscle and might never play baseball again. Apparently Bell reinjured himself in recent workouts and doctors said "it is now definitely beyond repair."

For the season Bell is batting .277 with 26 hits and no home runs. He has scored 4 times and batted in 8.
It's Over: Robins Stop Heathcote
Thursday, August 16th, 1923
The St. Louis Cardinals defeated the Brooklyn Robins 8-1 today at Ebbets Field, but Cliff Heathcote's 21-game hitting string was snapped and went to the wayside. Heathcote went hitless in 5 at-bats.

"I enjoyed the streak," the center fielder said in a BNN interview after the game. "It's great in one way, but the day-to-day pressure to keep it going can be tough to handle, too. The main thing is we got the 'W' today. That's all that really counts."

This year Heathcote is hitting .317 with 127 hits, 10 home runs, 56 RBIs and has scored 65 runs.
Red Sox Shut out Indians, Leonard Winner
Thursday, August 16th, 1923
At League Park II today Boston blitzed the Cleveland Indians 4-0 on a route-going gem by Dutch H Leonard. He blanked them on a 4-hitter and had 2 strikeouts in the contest.

In 23 starts this season Leonard has rung up a 13-7 record and a 3.57 ERA.
