Windsor down, Keisler up. So I bet this means Saarloos is going back to the rotation.

Why even bother calling Windsor up for 2 starts.
Keisler is terrible, what does Casilla have to do to get a shot?

No kidding. So what if he can't run? As long as he can jack it out of the park it doesn't matter. He gets

One of the (reasonably credible) posters at the ESPN.com A's board said that Komine is going to get Sunday's start v. Halladay.
Good luck, kid..

Yipes. I can feel his oblique tearing from here.

Can anybody tell me why the A's aren't going after Julio Lugo? Off-the-field transgressions aside, he would immediately make the A's middle infield major league quality at the plate and he's a good defensive player, too.
His EIGHTY-FOUR point EQA advantage on Ellis is staggering. He has 73 points on Crosby. I don't know if I'd include Crosby in the deal, but Ellis is gone yesterday if Lugo was coming in return. |

Dear Macha:
Just when I thought that you couldn't get any dumber, you go ahead and prove me wrong. I'm curious, in the 8th inning with the bases loaded and only 1 out, down by 1, and the absolutely dominant lefty BJ Ryan pitching... WHY IN THE EVERLOVING HELL would you let Mark ".231/.349/.327/.676 OPS vs. Lefties" Ellis meekly ground into an inning ending double play while Bobby ".304/.342/.551/.893 OPS vs Lefties" Kielty sits and rots on the bench? Your stupid knows no bounds.

B) Ellis, not Macha, is the one who swung at a 2-0 pitch when the pitcher couldn't find the plate. Quote:

Are you honestly saying that you would trade .070 points of average, and over .200 OPS and SLG% to have a .007 better chance of getting on base? Here's Mark's "clutch" stats: w/ RISP 2 Outs - 3-21, .143/.308/.593 w/ RISP Overall - 11-57, .193/.284/.652 "Close and Late" - 5-38, .132/.154/.312 Here's Kielty: w/ RISP 2 Outs - 7-19, .368/.400/.632 w/ RISP Overall - 15-41, .366/.409/.683 "Close and Late" - 10-30, .333/.412/.367 Quote:

Bobby Kielty is better than someone? Why couldn't that happen when he was with the Twins?

And yay for Milton Bradley. Big, big win today. Too bad Komine didn't get his first major league victory though. |

Swisher may not be hitting since getting sick and dropping all that weight, but the double play he just made was unbelievable.
