Just checking, if we download the Historic folder dated 1-25-2018 that will include all the updated ballparks? Thanks Silvam for all your great ballparks. Just checking before I download 2GB. Thanks again.

The entire historic folder (with the lite sub-folder) is actually over 11GB. The lite versions have a date of 2021, so these are the updated ones, I believe.

The Lite versions do not have the sketchup file in the ZIP. this saves about 10-30+ MB per file. I haven't been uploading the "heavy" versions lately. I will provide a sketchup file to anyone who wants it if they want to do some serious editing of a park

Silvam 14,
I hope you can continue to make ballparks as long as it is enjoyable to you. There's no guarantee that ootp will make more ballparks. They can always learn from your work. I wish i could make stadiums like these. The ballpark construction kit is nice but has its limits. |

The DEV team mentioned that they spent the most amount of resources ever on making those parks this year. I currently have bout 197 different historical/current parks not including my fictional/minors/misc parks. I don't see how they could feasibly try to make the historical parks, especially with the very little photo evidence to go on. The historical/current parks were a tremendously fun project for me. If down the road, I can figure a way to make improvements, I will. I just feel like my resources have been exhausted at this point

Any new historical stadiums yet for OOTP22 workshop(Steam)?
Silvam or Adion: I hope you're both doing well. Please let us know of OOTP 22 historical stadium updates you will (hopefully) be uploading to the Steam workshop for OOTP22.
--I'm running the Steam version of OOTP 22, and am holding off on historical replays until you historical stadium creator/geniuses (I don't use that term lightly) start uploading your MUCH-appreciated work. PLEASE let us Steam players know when you've posted any and all historical stadiums you've labored over and uploaded to the OOTP 22 Steam workshop! I look forward SO much to all of your work each year with each new Steam version of OOTP. Last edited by robedits; 03-26-2021 at 10:28 AM. Reason: spelling |

Inventory of 3D Ballparks by Silvam14 and Adion
Quote:
From what I’ve seen the steam workshop for 22 is not available yet. I’m not sure when I’ll be able to upload them all over again. I spent the past week updating and uploading them to the mediafire site. There are a few options: - Download them from mediafire ( links on the first post here - update your OOTP21 parks through steam workshop (I uploaded the updated parks there yesterday) and then just copy them to the 22 ballparks/models folder - you should be able to import the parks “.prk” file from your 21 game folder and not even have to copy them for now. I have a question into Andreas if there is a way to just copy my workshop items from 21 to 22 easier than having to create each one again and attach the screenshots etc. it’s a lot of time to do for the 81 historical items I have. With all of that said, I’ll make sure to update this thread when the workshop is available Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Many thanks, Silvam. I did notice that I was able to load one of your beauties from my OOTP 21 ballparks/models folder to use in OOTP 22 in a historical game I set up. SO that does work. It's just (lazy me :-) ) easier to grab them from the Steam workshop, which was so "easy" to do with OOTP21 (and earlier versions).
I absolutely realize for you, (and for whoever else takes the time to upload the hist. parks into the OOTP workshop....in this case, it'll be for the OOTP22 workshop on Steam) it's a HUGE time-sucking project and you've already spend untold hours perfecting the ballparks you create. So whatever...and WHENEVER you do this work (and to whoever else does it,too): you know we historical BP users are beyond grateful for it. |

I downloaded all the historical parks (lite versions), unzipped everything, copied the folders to the ballpark\models folder for OOTP 22. Then I created my league (1971). It looks like the ballpark names are correctly assigned to the teams, with the correct year range, but the 3D models aren't assigned to them. All the ballparks are using the default stadium.
Did I do something wrong / miss a step, or do we need to load the 3D models manually for each park. I started manually loading them, but it would be nice to know if I screwed something up. On the plus side, I get to see each park and they look great! |
