Chicken Hawks, center fielder for the Philadelphia Athletics, ran his consecutive-game hitting streak to 25 games with 1 hit in his club's 7-5 victory today over the Cleveland Indians at League Park II.
Chicken Hawks flied out in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, struck out in the 7th and grounded out in the 9th.

In 50 games this season Hawks is batting .341 with 70 hits and 4 home runs. He has scored 25 runs and driven in 24.

Big Train tosses Shutout, Cicotte's career year comes to an end early.
Ed Cicotte's ailing shoulder will cause him to miss the rest of the year. Cocotte 10-4 after 17 starts had a 2.31 ERA and was leading the league in strikeouts.
