CD, you asked me in a PM to critique your latest jerseys and caps.
It really doesn't matter what I say in my constructive criticism, you never use my suggestions... our tastes in styles, colors, textures, shadings and contrast are totally different. You like the styles and colors that you use... and that is fine... there is nothing wrong with that. I like traditional styles and colors. So, it is not likely I will ever like your jerseys and caps, unless you change to a more traditional style and use traditional baseball colors and color combinations. If you're wondering why I chose the colors for Yerba Buena that I did, EC, I wanted to use at least one color apiece from the flags of Spain, the Netherlands, and Italy, because I envision many of the people in Yerba Buena being from those countries, if they came to Yerba Buena as immigrants to Prokiru. While I haven't yet decided on Yerba Buena's backstory for sure, there may also be some plains and/or prairie-like terrain, at least, near it, if not where it is, so that's why I included the sage/gold color on the uniforms as well.
I believe I have used your suggestions in the past at least every so often, although many times, I admit it may seem like I haven't done so to you. Granted, we do have many differences between us in our usual tastes in a graphics-related sense, but we're not as different from each other in that sense as you may think, I believe. Your idea of traditional styles and colors is certainly different from mine in many cases, especially when you are talking about real-world places and all, for sure. But as I've said before, for fictional places, what may be considered traditional in the real world may not necessarily be the case for them entirely, if at all. Slaabovia, for instance, isn't based entirely on one particular culture or another, in truth. While it definitely has some rather long and still-strong influences remaining from various real-world nations, either historical, or current, who actually had people from each of them present in its territory for at least a few centuries apiece, it still has its own native traditions as well. For instance, bright colors are often worn in many places all over the country much of the year, especially on sporting uniforms like baseball ones, even in the territories. Hence why many of my teams in Slaabovia have rather bright colors for their uniforms at times. I hope eventually to be able to get back to my Slaabovia-related dynasties soon, if and when I can finally be able to complete Lighting Up the Darkness well enough somehow, in truth. It's not fun being stuck when you're trying to complete something you've already been working on whenever possible for a rather long time, for sure. Thank you for your time and attention and honesty and all here. It is quite refreshing, honestly, when someone cares enough for another person, a person like me, for instance, to tell them the truth as fairly and as lovingly and all as possible. I'm really glad you care enough for me not to deliberately lie to me at all, EC, if you can possibly ever avoid doing so somehow at all. I suppose you could say, in a sense, that it may even make my heart sing at times, even if I can't actually hear what it may be singing at times here, for your information. But even if my heart sings and I can't hear it, I'm quite sure that our Lord can still hear it sing whenever it does, even if I can't at a particular time in my life, without any doubt at all in my mind here. I'll talk more later, if and when I can and all, I'm quite sure, EC. Thanks again for everything you've done for me, and I greatly appreciate it all, most definitely. I hope you had a great Thanksgiving Day with those you love, where and how it was possible for you, in any case. Actually, we should all treat each day as Thanksgiving Day, if you really think about it, and give our Maker our thanks and praise and our worship and everything we have daily. At least as best as we each can and all, and especially our burdens, which He is fully able to bear upon Himself, so we can take on His light yoke instead, and feel refreshed every day in the lightness of peace that He will give us, if we give Him our burdens and all from our respective lives, for sure. CD out.

Freemans' statistics so far in Good Times League
The next two posts or so will give you an update on both Freemans in the Good Times League as of July 22, 1901. First I will share some screenshots related to Gordon Clyde, then some related to Arthyr Gyolgi. While they are still young, and haven't fully developed yet, there may be some good chances that they'll eventually develop into good, if not great, players in the future, I think. Although GC has been having a rough time with his pitching for a while now, I think there is a chance that he will be quite good in the future, if and when a good defensive core develops for Motley around him and others on the team.
Currently, the Misfits team stinks, but they're still on pace to get the number one pick in the upcoming first-year draft at the present time. Basically, they can't play defense or hit well, in many respects, but they do have some players who I think will be major stars in the future, whether those players include either or both of the Freemans at this time. With no further ado here, then, here are some screenshots related to GCF. Screenshots related to AGF will certainly be in the next post. That is all for this post here, I think, folks. CD out.

And here are some new screenshots related to AGF in the GTL as of the above-mentioned calendar date. That is all. CD out.

CD, those Misfits jerseys don't look half bad when you see them in a screenshot.
No, I wouldn't use them in my leagues, but they are not as bad as I thought. They are about a 5 on a scale of 10.... mainly because of the color combinations. Making the cap Navy Blue or Light Blue would improve it a lot in my opinion... the Gray cap just doesn't appeal to me.... this cap color change would up my rating to about 8 on a 10 scale. The Orange M on the cap would have better contrast with Navy Blue, too. Last edited by Eugene Church; 11-26-2021 at 03:42 PM. |

I'll take a look at the Motley Misfits colors, and see what I can come up with for them later. I don't think I used gray, but I'll check that, and I'll also check the shading percentages and all, when I can and all. Navy blue might not work, but maybe the blue on the uniforms might, I think. Talk more later. Thanks for the suggestion, in any case, EC. CD out.

EC, look again at posts 1158, 1161, 1162, and 1163, please, and you will see the caps and uniforms I've made so far for Motley's Misfits, along with other relevant information regarding the Motley Misfits here. I may decide to move away from the blackish color to Navy Blue, at some point, but right now, I think the blackish color might work here. It looks like I used the grain texture on each of the caps, so that may be why the front of the home cap looks gray to you here, if I'm not too mistaken here.
The blackish color isn't pure black, either. I'll take your suggestions into account for when and if Motley might ever need new uniforms or caps or logos. I'm really not a fan of the team logo seen on the earlier screenshots I posted, though. Certainly Motley could use at least one or two better logos for them, I think. What might you suggest as a logo image for them instead? That freaky head is rather annoying to look at, at the very least, for me at the present time, to be honest. Talk more later, if and when I can and all. Lord willing and all, of course, EC. CD out.

I see you must be using the 20-80 scouting scale for ratings. What would certain people's ratings look like on the 1-100 scale here, perhaps, jg2977? Just curious, that's all. CD out.

I'm not quite sure what happened to Hillsboro, but they really fell off this year. Won only 65 games after winning 91 and 98 the two years prior. It's obvious that they can't hit, except for Arthyr.

Can you show me the parks that they both play in, perhaps, please? Of course, you've probably renamed at least one of them from their real-world names, if not both of them, if you're using member-modded stadiums. Maybe their parks have something to do with how well they can do. And I notice that Glasco has evidently moved GC to SS from CF, as well. CD out.

Here's Glasco's ballpark:
Glasco used to be called the Athletics, so I figured that Oakland Coliseum would be a good choice for them. |

Hey, jg2977, think you could perhaps chime in on my OOTP 21 General Discussions thread I created a bit ago, and give me your suggestions on how I might best continue with things for my Earth Baseball Association-related dynasty, please? I would really like to see what you think, within reason and all, of course. Thanks in advance if you do so there. CD out.

I'd like to be as logical as I can with the movements and all for the listed teams, whether they stay in their current leagues or not, jg2977. But I'm not sure which teams to have in the first league, and which teams to have in the second league, at the current time, unfortunately, to be honest. I know some teams are going to move to the first league and some are going to move to the second league, but there are several teams that will stay in either league, in any case.
I'm looking for the most logical arrangement of the mentioned franchises in both applicable leagues. Even if several of them might perhaps have to relocate themselves elsewhere in North America some length of time prior to all of them ultimately being part of the first league, once it goes to a divisional setup as mentioned in the relevant post sometime later on for the future NABA. Given that ten of the listed teams/locations will definitely be in the NABA, with six more yet to be decided on for sure, how would you perhaps suggest I handle the reconfiguration of the two leagues currently in question here, then? Just wondering, that's all. By the way, the 1901 season is over and done for the Good Times League, and I now have final statistics for both Freemans for that season, in fact. They aren't very good yet, mainly because Motley hasn't yet been able to develop a good core of players for itself yet, and because our players haven't yet fully developed, either. Screenshots related to the Freemans, at least, are going to be in the next two or so posts here, at least, I think, for your viewing, just so you know, jg2977 and/or EC. Hopefully, we'll somehow be able to develop a good core group of players by the time the 1905 season rolls around, of course, but only time will tell if that comes to pass, you know. CD out.
