Viewing transactions
Would it be possible to add a filter when viewing transactions so you could see ALL, TRADES ONLY, FREE AGENTS, WAIVER MOVES?
I hate sifting through pages of minor roster movement when I just want to see trades, free agent signings, etc Edit---Sorry JB Magic...see you already requested this. I guess 2 requests can't hurt

How about being able to see park factors for another team's stadium in an online league? Currently, it's on the team setup screen, which is password protected.

How about an option to keep player salary history out of a player's history display. I'd like to play with financials, but don't care much about how much a player makes.

Will it be very difficult to add more varity to players/ manager communication ? Just not always "I don't like your club" and "I want to play for a winner next year" but two or three more possibilities like "I've been here so long I want to move on" or "I don't like my team mates (If team chemistry is low)"....

The ones I really like from here are the compensatory draft picks, the owner personalities to skew rookie/veteran preferences beyond a team's position, and player lists that "remember" your last settings so that you don't have to reorganize them each time the window pops up.

I'd like to see, when career records are erased, not see see Pitcher a set the major league record for K's after each start in his player history.

I find this problem unbelievable. I prefer to just watch the games for the teams I run, with no in game decisions by me (I'm the just a GM type), and I can't tell you how stupid it is to watch my closer come in with a 3 run lead and a guy on base intentionally walk a scrub to bring up a better hitter simply because first base is open. This happens ALL THE TIME. Nobody in there right mind would intentionally walk a guy and bring the tying run to the plate. Even if the first guy hits it out you still have the lead! Guhh. I would also like to be able to give more in depth bullpen instructions. If you don't have a Mariano Rivera type pitcher that can come in during the 8th inning, then you shouldn't be bringing him in in the 8th unless absolutely necessary. But the AI does this a lot. My closer gets tired around 20 pitches. If he has to face more than 5 batters, he's probably going to have to come out... so let me have the option in my team strategy to only use the closer in the 9th inning or extra innings. Finally, as far as the bullpen, the AI needs to have a better understanding of bullpen lefties. If I have a guy who is dominant against lefties but not so hot against righties, I would want him used against lefties only at least 90% of the time... the computer seems to like to keep these guys in against righties for too long. If something helpful about that could be placed in the team strategy, it would be appreciated as well. Thank you and goodnight.

I'd be remiss not to make this comment along the way. Already, the best feature of 6.5 is that Markus created this thread asking for some last throw-it-on-the-table ideas from this forum. When you look at the chain of events recently, from finding 6.5 being created at all, to the "discussion" with Marc wherein only 2-3 replies actually provided him with what he was initially seeking (needless to say he - and we - ultimately benefited), to this active endeavor to solicit our involvement based, I think, on a genuine sense of our worth to this creation -- it enhances a belief in the process.
Honestly, when I first saw this thread "Put OOTP 6.5 feature requests here", I didn't take note of the original author, only that there were replies already being posted in it. I thought, "After what's already transpired, what idiot would believe that at the last minute we can start piling on asking for even more!? Well, as it turned out, it was Markus. I was surprised, relieved, and grateful. I'm sure we'll see some significance from this gesture, but if we see none at all I'm glad he made it just the same. And if anyone wants to label me fanboy you're allowed. Just make certain you know it's because I'm a fan of courtesy and communication, dialogues even when they involve struggles (ala J.Slick's sig), and of any opportunity to demonstrate that we merit the respect to which we often claim we are entitled. Just thought it worth acknowledging. Historically, there are usually more responses to posts like "Your mama was a monkey" and "this game sucks" than there have been to brief commentaries or gestures like this one. I didn't want this thread to escape without a different fate. If it doesn't, it doesn't. Great comments folks. Good, intelligent work. Salutes to all of you as well.

A couple of my own ideas:
- A way to track every step of player development like in BOSI. Show each point increase/decrease to a talent or rating instead of only listing "Joe Schoe has received a bump in contact". - Set bullpen pitchers to only face lefties or righties. - Have certain players not get tired during the season so you can see someone with 162 games started in a season. - Get an e-mail telling you an injured player will make it back sooner then expected. I am tried of always getting e-mail prolonging the injuries. - Get rid of the injury rating. It should not be seen as players who are prone sometimes never get hurt and players who are durable are sometimes injured all the time. - How about trading salary cap room. For example, if you trade someone with a 15M contract, you agree to pay 3m per year against your own cap. - Signing bonus' in Free Agency That's it for now! Tom

Seeing how the latest EHM is with that kind of thing, I noticed in the demo that each team did have a head coach and you were essentially the GM who could make in game decisions if you chose to, makes me hopeful that OOTP 7 will have a similar mode. Also, I am really looking forward to the number of leagues in 7. I am hoping that you will be able to start as a manager of another league or in Japan and then work your way into managing in the minors, then get your big chance in the majors. Can't wait.
