Ghost runners. I played an extra inning game. Their lead off batter singled to right and the score changed. Well... the runner on second was invisible. As are other player in the field and at bat.
Can someone show me how to get rid of ghost runners ? THANKS !

I'm actually really impressed with the trade engine so far in my first season. Has there been any bad trades? Yes, but mostly offering a bad team players who are going to be free agents, when they would do me absolutely no good. However, I've gotten maybe 5-6 offers that were realistic and solid for both, and I'm not sure that ever happened in 23. I'm sure there's work to do here, and it's hard, but I see some improvement.

This is also in the lead up to the deadline, which is great. There's increased activity, then the improved event. That part was somewhat there before, but this has been far better in one playthrough.

My first impressions are not as positive as most here. Have been playing a few seasons and am encountering salaries upwards of 80 to 90 million dollars per year! I realize that contracts are going up, but isn't this a little much?

There's an option in the financial settings where you can adjust or even turn off inflation.

By default this is set to 1-4% per year. But of course, with that, it's always possible you could get a bunch of 4% years in a row and that might add up quickly.

I hadn't realized international leagues were taken out (aside from Korea). This is a huge negative for me. Wow whatever good is in the version, I might have to skip it now.

I'm glad you guys are enjoying the game. My game continues to crash after installing 38. Not sure if uninstalling and reinstalling would help but as it stands now the game is unplayable for me. And yes I've reported the issue. But since this is a first impression thread, the impression is not to good for me.

In-game baserunning decision to send runners pop-up seems to be working properly now in build 38. Glad that one got resolved, always minorly irked me a bit when it would skip the 3d animation, and you'd have to look at the play-by-play or replay to see what the resolution was.

I love this aspect of the new(ish) trading module. The fact that the "make this work now" button can be removed is a huge step toward more realistic trading IMO. It might be nice if teams' would give you an upfront short list of players' they may potentially have interests in based on need, finances, team focus etc.. but this is a step in the right direction.

I think it's great that human GMs just cannot sit there and fine tune trades to their hearts' content. You still can a little bit with salaries and money, but no longer with players at least.

I am not so sure I am a big fan of the GM reputation system, as to me, it feels incomplete. I was hoping more for a model where human GMs had profiles (the same as AI staff do) that could be used to interact with other players or staff in the game. (Ala FM). Therefore I was also thinking AI GMs would also have a reputation, but they don't. SO TO ME, this feels incomplete. I doubt I will use this part of it, since the hard mode helps level the playing field somewhat. You will still need to craft sensible deals when presenting them to opposing GMs.

No Buffing yet what I mean Game isn't running out of Memory yet at least just have 2 Leagues loaded this years/Homegrown in League Setup. Know at Amateur Draft no Historical Guys looks like in first year and want some.

One other thing I want to mention is that right out of the box this game is very very playable. I didn't have to adjust any camaras to my liking. Game play was great. No adjustments made anywhere. I'm playing it the way it is and I love it. Real nice.

That is not what I am talking about. No complaints about the Make it work now button being removed. When you use Shop Now by right clicking a player on your roster the AI teams give you offers for that player they are willing to trade 1 for 1. When you go to accept an offer they were changing their mind and wanting additional players. Make it now removal prevents exploiting the AI the other way around where people would try to get a specific player the AI did not want to trade and continuously use that button till they could find just the right deal the AI was willing to accept.

Two different issues.

Came here to say EXACTLY this. As I've read through the posts here "Hard Mode" just means that the opposition will ask for more players, or higher rated players. So basically Hard Mode means players cost more in a trade.

Smart Mode? Give me things like a team recognizing where they are in the standings, who they're trading with, and understanding the importance of a rivalry. Understanding that if the Red Sox and Yankees were in a pennant race there's virtually no chance of the two teams swapping players.

Doing things like adding features to GM's who weight values of trades in division vs. out of division. OR, one of the things I've always thought about when playing "Money Ball" saves, Billy Beane always talked about how he never drafted high school players and went for college players regardless of who else was still on the board.

Those are the AI changes that have been needed for a while now.

Resolution issue on mac

Resolution and text kinda blurry on my mac, nowhere as clear as 23. Is there a fix for this?
