Now I feel silly. I purposefully avoided using the source photo that one is based on because of the open mouth, but after some tweaking I was able to get it looking a lot nicer than the one I made yesterday using his tobacco card.

------------Installation Instructions-----------

Windows:

1. Download and extract the zip file from one of the links above
2. Delete or rename the existing fg_files folder in your OOTP install folder
3. Copy the downloaded fg_files folder into your OOTP install folder

Mac (Thanks to beepollen):

1. Make sure OOTP isn't running.
2. Go to the folder /Users/(username)/Application Support/Out of the Park Developments/OOTP Baseball 22.
3. Delete the folder fg_files.
4. Add the downloaded folder, also named fg_files.

Notes:

• Newly created leagues will have the facegens load automatically.
• Older leagues will need to have player pictures updated in order for them to display: League Settings -> Players & Facegen -> Check all picture files of all teams and leagues
• Perfect Team facegens will update whenever you download a new simulation

It's that image from Baseball Reference, which is what I had for him in the game, that makes him stand out. When he first appeared in my game, my initial thought was, 'Wow, take a look at this guy....'

Unfortunately, I don't know much about Linux, but it *should* follow the same basic idea. Wherever you have the game installed, you want to find a folder named "data" and replace the existing "fg_files" folder within it with the one I have up for download.

Failing that, the mod is also up on the steam workshop, where the process is subscribing to the mod, allowing it to download, and then installing it from within "workshop central" in the game.

Are you talking about the search feature? Top right next to the viewfinder.
Atz appears in my Sox A-Z league. i am on Fe-Fu next draft. Also working on a complete White Sox 48 team A-Z league.

Sometimes they come out great, sometimes terrible. i have a FG of my nephew and it looks terrible with an open gape. Whomever made that Atz i posted did a good job. i have been carrying over that set since OOTP 16 oi think thru OOTP 20. i starting using your set late last year.

I have a file for Ody Abbott,

edit, Walt Doane does seem to be missing, but I think the file is spelled incorrectly

in my fg_files, it is doan--001wal.fg as in the game, his name is spelled Doan. guess you could just edit the filename

Do you mean you have a file for Ody Abbott in your directory from this mod? I filtered the directory on 'abbot' and do not see an Ody. I also don't get any Abbotts if I filter on 'ody'.

You are correct about Doan. I was filtering on the name as spelled in the Minors ID. Once I removed the extra 'e' I found him. I didn't even notice that his name was spelled differently in the Last Name field.

Yeah, scratch the Ody Abbott thing. Must have been from an old remnant from before. I don't see him in this set. I did see him in my OOTP20 files using the First_Last format. I think those should be included for any player who does not have a historical minors ID in the OOTP21 yet.

Unfortunately, since I downloaded the modm, there are tons missing from the game because the game has not yet updated the minors ID. I had name files for those players ,but they must have been removed with the mod install. I still have them all saved off, but I might just wait to see if they update the game first

Doan/Doane is a case where, from what I understand, his ID was based off of a misspelling, but BBRef doesn't change IDs once they're established. So even though they identify him as "Walt Doan" on his page, his official ID has an e in it.

Made a facegen for Doan, and cleaned up the one silvam provided for Ody Abbott as well (attached).

Assuming it's the same as in OOTP21 (I haven't noticed anything different this year so I haven't re-tested):

1. First it looks for a file named with the player's historic minors ID
2. If that's not found (or there isn't one), it looks for one named with the player's BBref ID
3. If that's not found (or there isn't one), it looks for one named with an exact FirstName_LastName match.

For coach/manager/trainer/etc. profiles, the historic minors ID is never there in-game, but former players do some times have a BBref ID listed. So the process there is just step 2 then step 3.
