When was the last time:
1) a player batted from both sides in the same plate appearance, as Victor did in the ninth today? 2) a catcher hit an inside the park home run? 3) a player hit an inside the park home run for his first career homer? 4) a catcher hit an inside the park home run for his first career homer? |

The only thing I know is that Mike Heath was the last Tiger catcher to hit an inside the park homer.
(because they said it on the TV broadcast... )

ZING!
![]() Give me until tomorrow and I'll probably have forgotten that too. ![]() I do know a couple other things: 1) The Indians are terrible right now. 2) They will turn it around now because I've sworn off watching them for a while. Day 1 of boycott = W. Last edited by TribeFanInNC; 04-30-2015 at 11:24 AM. |

It's show down time!
Seven games in eleven days with the brawling Royals.

![]() Really, I stopped watching because if I kept watching I would have either: 1) thrown my iPod against the wall and smashed it into a million pieces 2) thrown something through my TV The 6-run inning against KC put me over the top. I'm sure I'll go back when the are less frustrating. ***************************** Un-Indians related: I'm totally digging these 6pm games! I think the Tigers have played some too. Bye-bye local news, hello baseball 1-hour earlier! |

Verlander getting an MRI (another one?). It worked for a while but Simon, Lobster and Greene just can't all be mainstays of the rotation.

The flowers are in bloom and Joba is getting lit up - it must be spring!
Hopefully, one can be salvaged from the CHISOX today but I am excited for the KC series at home - a fun weekend ahead!

So, Lobstein pitched a great game. While he has not been this good every time out he has done a good job as spot starter. The question I have, as it looks like Verlander is beginning to get back in shape to join the team, when Verlander comes back what happens to Lobstein? Kyle has thus far been on par with both Greene and Simon, though slightly better in some areas, and seems to be more consistent than both of them, or at least Greene. Would Ausmus send Greene down or put Simon in the 'pen? Or will Lobstein go down or to the pen. I'm intrigued. Lobstein still probably has a good three starts left, at least, before Verlander gets back so we'll see.

If Lobstein keeps up what he's doing and Greene continues to struggle like he has in his last 3 starts, I think you gotta send Greene down and keep Lobster up. He's earned it.
Now if Greene figures it out and is closer to the guy that started the season than the one he is now(he's not either one obviously), then it gets tough. Simon to the pen? |

Tough loss but an outstanding game from Greene last night.
Not sure why Soria wasn't kept in for the tenth. I get it that he is the closer but isn't that a situation where you leave the closer in and keep a few arms warm just in case?

Chris, there was over an hour delay going into bottom of 9th.
Edit: 1:43 per the box I just checked. I went to bed after an hour. Last edited by Airdrop01; 05-11-2015 at 09:48 AM. |

I don't dare say it too loud but the pen is looking pretty solid of late.
