I know that, but having it downloadable in csv saves the extra step you mention.

I'm confused. I only get csv files.

You can go to the database tab and choose csv but I've never done that so just assumed that csv was the default setting. There is no txt option that I can see in the database tools menu.

No biggie just curious.

League Settings > Import/Export Functions has the option to export but most importantly to import rosters and stats. By default files export as .txt from those functions.

It would be nice if the newspaper was more Era reflective, instead of always looking modern. Maybe a league set in the early 1900s could have a paper that has fonts that more resemble the times, 1940s same, etc...

Also, would be nice to have the stadium seating capacity upgrade with the times, instead of having to go in and manually up grade it.

If the big announcement was official licensing, that would be pretty disappointing. Not that it would be a BAD thing (and it would be a GOOD thing) but it would be two years in a row where the BIG announcement didn't actually make the game any better.

I was really hoping for the WBC.

Oh well.

I agree with you because anyone one us can change the team names to the real ones so its not a huge thing. Now if having an MLB license is just a minor announcements that would be cool.

Unless the official MLB licensing led to more than just the use of team names. I can't think of specific examples off the top of my head, but I suppose it could lead to new things we haven't considered.

Well it all about POV. The WBC would not make the game any better for me. In fact I would resent the time spent putting it in vs so many baseball play improvements that could be made.

Without wishing to rehash old arguments, it does have potential to make the MLB quickstart less realistic if they put restrictions on it (obvious example: no drug suspensions).

I hope the official MLB licensing isn't the big announcement, I couldn't care less.

On the other hand, if it's about great graphic animation then it would be awesome for me. Always enjoyed seeing the graphics in the other games.

Yup. We have to make sure the new features each year is a good balance for both casual and hardcore users. Though, the non-hardcore folks are the ones who pay our bills, they far outnumber the hardcore fans (who happen to be the ones active on the forums )
