Aren't the 2014 Opening Day rosters supposed to be included? I have installed OOTP 15 and can't find them. Am I mistaken or doing something wrong? Thanks.

Use Add-ons Central to download the 2014 All in One mod. Then start a New Standard Game from the main menu.

Looks awesome. I miss being able to change a guy's beard, picture from the main screen of the player card. Rather than go into editor mode. But, really impressive so far.

At least on the Yankees staff at least, I had to go in and hire all staff from single A down. I am not sure about the other 29 organizations, but I was missing a ton off staff by default. Is this intentional?

Sorry. Obviously overlooked that option on the home screen.

Love most of the new things in the game so far.

Personally, I like the look of OOTP 14 better because there was more contrast and more depth I guess. I tried the other skins in 15, but it didn't quite help. I'll get used to 15 though...

Great job guys!

Marcus posted about this on another thread. It will be fixed in the first update, but you can fix it short-term by going to the Game Settings and de-selecting the "Use complete scouting system" in the upper lefthand corner and then re-selecting it. It resets the scouting system for the game.

The game is awesome. Thanks for all the hard work guys. I have noticed a minor glitch though, it's not a big deal but I just thought I would share. The box scores have incorrect stats. It will say someone has a home run when they didn't hit one. The last game I played, I won 9-6, and my team had 13 rbi's and the other team had 9 rbi's. So the stats are a little wrong, but it's not a big deal or anything. Keep up the good work!

misterblonde3, you should report this bug in the bug report thread. I'd also suggest uploading your league files to the FTP site. Instructions are contained in the first post in the bug report thread. Then be sure to mention in your post the name of your file. Thanks!

Here are my 1st impressions now that I finally get a chance to sit down and play a league i am very familiar with in my EBL vs MLB league.
Like
Love the crisp look for facegens, they look 100x better then previous versions.
Love that the facial hair styles are shown as i like to change players up frequently and always had to pull up Bobbles image of what he used 1st.
Like the overall look.
Love having everything i need on one page on the MGR screen.
Cool that i can ditch DH from Game Preview screen.

Don't Like
Info screen which on 14 was called Stats is too bright using Dark skin.
Can not edit whatever notes I put in for retired number after I hit Save, right now i am putting the player and the years he played for that team. So far i have not messed up typing but it is bound to happen eventually.
Can't figure out for the life of me what LO means on the home screen for pitchers. Figured it out Duh Long relief

So far that is all I have. Still gets an A++ leaps and bounds better than 14 and 11 seems like Atari to me these days. Can't wait for a 3D version of the Thunderdome aka Skydome.

Moving Between Levels

Before the "issue" let me say first that I really like OOTP15. Slight learning curve, but change always takes adjustments, even good change. Only real dislike (that might be me missing something) is that I like to click between levels in Pitching Staff and Lineups. In other words, go straight from Majors Pitchers to AAA Pitchers to AA Pitchers. Haven't figured out how to do this in OOTP15. So far I have to go to Team Home Screen to move to new level. Hope I'm missing something.

I'm guessing it means "Left on"

I'm not sure if it's intentional, but this is by far the most annoying part of the game for me so far, as I'm having trouble signing coaches, even giving them what they want. I'm also the Yankees and was only able to come to terms with one coach out of the 10 vacancies or whatever. It's now 4/7.

Of course, that being the most annoying part of the game for me so far is a very, very good sign.

not that it makes sense, but try to negotiate with them and offer them what they want a second time.... I tried to hire a manager for my single-A team. First attempt I offered him exactly what he wanted, and he came back and rejected it (told me it wasn't enough). So I went back and tried again. He asked for the same amount/length, which I offered again; and that time he accepted.

OOTP 15 is officially the greatest version of OOTP ever!

Just finding out that for a league level, you can choose "Independent"

THANK YOU MARKUS!!!

.
Go back to the menu and choose Enable Summary Editor. This should allow you to edit the summaries. It has always worked for me.

Thirty minutes into it and I like the new interface. Whoever compiled the initial rosters really doesnt like my Orioles. Over-ratings for Schoop/Machado/Wieters/Lombardozzi/Weeks/Cruz, Under ratings for Tillman/Jones/Britton/Chen/Gonzalez/O'Day/Bundy/Gausman. Getting ready to start up season.....very juiced!

I raised the issue of Tillman during beta testing. Most of the ratings, as I understand it, are based on PECOTA or whatnot. But I agree that Tillman is underrated.

I love that there is now an Indy league category under league level options. No more having my indy leagues set as a major league or designated as a minor league abbreviation. This is huge for a guy with OCD like myself lol.

Also love the option of resetting service time for players joining a new league. Haven't seen this mention anywhere before.

Rating for MLB guys are indeed based on PECOTA. If you don't like them, you can blame BA

Agree on Tillman for sure. I actually gave him a slight boost even though we generally don't touch the PECOTA rated guys because Markus doesn't want us to.( He wants the PECOTA ratings left alone, and I can't blame him on that.

I definitely don't agree Chen is underrated, I actually think he's maybe a bit overrated

As for Bundy and Gausman, agree that Bundy is underrated when talking about potential. Guasman is perfect potential wise, though maybe his current ratings are a bit low.
