I am not sure why but Bob has left but he is the only person I know thats left. He does still post on the PISD forums so he is not totally gone...

He left apparently because of the discussion about the efficacy of having title bout 'compete' in the Billy C challenge. I started that so it is my fault but for the life of me, I can't understand why a conversation about something so painfully obvious and concerning whether it is doing more harm than good could cause someone to leave.

I wouldn't blame yourself Chris, as I think folks tend to leave the board because they get disheartened because, rightly or wrongly, they percieve there is not much movement on a future version of TBCB. Not having a pop at anyone, I think Paul has done a good job with limited time resources and he always tries to sort people's problems with the game.

I check these boards every day in the hope of news of a management version but even my hope is fading!!

As we are relatively few in number in the basement I've always thought we should do our best to get on with each other, offer support, be polite and courteous, etc, and generally I think that is what happens, folks down here are pretty helpful and quick to offer support, especially to any newcomers.

I would have given up on this game a long time ago if it wasn't for this forum. I thank everyone here for always helping me with issues I have and for giving me great ideas on how to run my universe.

Guys, I think you should start registering on the PISD forum as well if you haven't already.


This will probably be a better source of news as the game moves forward and trust me, it is not dead.

Not saying abandon the basement, because quite frankly, I think this is the best group of people I have encountered on the net in any type for forum, and most definitely the loyalist!

Don't loose hope... while its true OOTP15 et al has delayed my original plans, I am quite firmly in the middle of designing the management layer for the game. I am also drawing up a list of minor improvements to the current version of the game as well.

IIRC there were a lot of people talking about giving up on TB this time last year, and all I could say was, wait and trust me. Sure enough TB2013 was released in due course... Its the same now, I am working on the management version of the game, wait and trust me

Sadly due to the delays, it looking more unlikely that the game will be ready by the end of this year as originally hoped. Its far to early to have a clear idea yet as the full design is not complete and of course this is essential for working out timings...
