Nunn won the seventh round and the eighth was an even one and when Nunn had his best round on the ninth one it seemed that the champion could mount a rally.
But again on the tenth round Nunn did nothing and allowed Dempsey to win the stanza with little. On the eleventh round and with Nunn in control Dempsey landed an unexpected right hook and dropped Nunn for the ten count to win the world title.
The fight was boring and actionless with too very conservative fighters, at the time of the stoppage the scorecrads were 97-94 96-95 and 97-93 for Dempsey.

On a fight that was expected to be a tough test for the champion, Winky Wright gave a real lesson of boxing to the outclassed challenger Alfredo Angulo.
Wright gave everyone an advance of what was to be the fight on the first round when he totally outboxed Angulo hurting him with a tremendous left near the end of the round and didn’t allowing him to land any clean punches.
On the second round Wright continued with his dominance of Angulo. The Mexican did it better on the third but Winky still edged the stanza.
On the fourth round again everything was for Wright and again he hurt Angulo this time with a left hook.
On the fifth round Angulo had his best round at this moment but Wright could hold the charge and edged the stanza.
On the sixth round Wright floored the accelerator again and won a one-sided round.
On the seventh round and with Angulo attacking Wright connecting a violent shot under Angulo’s ribcage and dropped him for an eight count. Ronald tried to finish the job this round but Angulo resisted on his feet.
Wright controlled a competitive eighth round but on the ninth round Angulo won his first round on the fight.
But again Wright regained the control on the tenth round and also hurt Angulo with a left cross. The last two rounds showed an overconfident Wright completelly outboxing and spent and disheartened Angulo. My scorecard was 119-108 for Wright the officail scorecards were 119-108 (x2) and 117-110 for the champion Wright.

On a highly anticipated clash, Terry Norris won the WBA junior middleweight crown from John Mugabi on a real boxing war.
Norris controlled the first minute of the fight and also put Mugabi on trouble with a great uppercut but after that Mugabi started to land his own bombs hurting Norris several times to finally edged the round.
Thirty seconds into the second round a strong right hook by Norris dropped Mugabi for a five count. After Mugabi got up Norris threw everything he had but Mugabi resisted the charge taking a lot of punishment on the way.
On the third round Mugabi looked surprisingly recovered and he won the stanza and also shook Norris with a hard hook.
On the fourth round Mugabi recoverd his confidence and went to the atack hurting Norris a pair of times with his power blows to won the round convincingly, Norris tried to counter and sometimes did it well making this round a beautiful one.
On the fifth round Norris used his speed and feet movement to outbox Mugabi. “The beast” couldn’t land any clean punches this round.
The sixth round was an even one and on the seventh one Norris again was outboxing Mugabi for the first two minutes until Mugabi landed a great right hook and dropped Norris for an eight count. Norris got up and he covered up and ran to finish the round without more trouble.
On the eighth round Mugabi tried to atack to finish the fight but Norris was recovered and hold off Mugabi’s charge to win a beautiful actionfilled round.
On the ninth round Norris statred to land punch after punch without answer by a tired Mugabi and after battering the african for most of the round Norris connected a devastating hook to Mugabi’s chin and put him to sleep for the ten count.
At the time of the stopped the now former champion Mugabi was winning on all three scorecards by 76-75 (x2) and 77-75.

For the great surprise of everyone the champion edged the first two rounds. His elusive style was giving some trouble to McCallum.
But on the third and fourth rounds McCallum started to find the target for his blows more frequently and easyly controlled those rounds.
The fifth round was very even but McCallum connected a great hook seconds before the bell rang and dropped Jones to win the round.
A recovered Jones won the sixth round but McCallum won the seventh one.
The eighth was a great actionfilled round with McCallum edging it. At this moment with eight rounds disputed the fight was very even and competitive.
On the ninth round a devastating hook by McCallum landed on Jones’ head dropping him for a three count. After Jones got up McCallum gave him a beating for the rest of the round.
After that Jones never was the same, McCallum easy dominated the tenth round and on the eleventh round he dropped Jones again with a quick left-right combination a second before the round came to its end.
On the last round and with McCallum in control the referee stopped the fight due to a gash outside Jones's left eyebrow. At the time of the stoppage the scorecards were 106-100 107-99 and 108-100 for the new champion McCallum.

It is impossible to wrote about this fight without talking about the awful judge’s decision. Sergio Martinez won this fight clearly and without any discussion and two of the judges saw it like a draw and the other ruled it for Castellini!!! It the worst judges decision on all the title fights on this universe.
Martinez won the first round of the fight but Castellini answered winning the second round. After that Martinez won the following six rounds of the fight on a row outboxing Castellini.
Martinez won all these rounds convincingly except the fifth one that was more even.
On the ninth round Caastellini had his moment in the fight when he dropped Martinez with a shot under his ribcage. Martinez got up and survived the round but Castellini controlled all the stanza. Castellini continued his momentum winning a one-sided tenth round.
A recovered Martinez managed to win the eleventh round and on the last round Martinez dropped Castellini with a great combination to finish the fight in total control of the situation.
My scorecard was 116-110 for Martinez but the judges saw it: 113-113 (x2) and 116-110 for….Castellini! so Martinez only retained his belt thaks to the knockdown he scored on the last round. Really incredible.

The fight started with fast pace with both fighters trading bombs and with Nelson edging an action packed first round.
On the second round and after a minute without action Arguello landed a great combination and dropped Nelson. The african got up immediately and tried to cover up to survive taking a lot of punishment until the end of the round. Nelson finished this round with a cut over the left eyebrow.
On the third round Nelson looked well again and could win a competitive round.
With more confidence Nelson controlled an actionfilled fourth round also hurting Arguello with a smashing cross.
On the fifth round Arguello easily dominated Nelson landing some good power blows but Nelson regained the control on the sixth round and mantained his momentum winning the seventh round too.
But on the eigth round and when Nelson seemed to have the fight under control a wicked uppercut by Arguello dropped him for the second time on the fight.
Again Nelson quickly got up and tried to run to survive but he got hurt a pair of times until the bell rang. Nelson didn’t connect a decent punch this round.
Miracrously a rejuvenated Nelson gave a real beating to Arguello on the ninth round, this time Arguello couldn’t connect any clean punches.
The tenth round was a comprtitive round but a more active Nelson edged it.
On the elventh round Nelson dropped Arguello with a shot under his ribcage but after Arguello got up Nelson couldn’t finish the job.
When the last round started Nelson seemed to have a good lead on the scorecards but Arguello had another surprise for us, he dropped Nelson with a devastating hook at the early stages of the round. Nelson got up for the third time and again Arguello threw everything he had but the africad could hold off the charge and finish the fight on his feet. My scorecard was 113-111 for Nelson and the official scorecards were 112-110 (x2) for Nelson and 112-111 for Arguello.

Pep proved to be too classy for Guzman and easily outboxed him for most of the fight. Guzman only had the puncher chance but only put Pep on some trouble on the tenth round.
Pep boxed on an oustanding form on rounds three, six and eight in which he used Guzman as a punching ball and he almost didn’t allow Guzman to land any decent punches.
Finally the fight was stopped on the elventh round when after a hard right by Pep a cut on Guzman´s left eyelid reopened for the third time on the fight and the referee decided to stop the bout. At the time of the stoppage the scorecards were 100-90 100-91 and 99-91.

But on the fifth round Pedroza was passive again and the champion punished him and also hurt him a pair of times this round.
Armstrong continued in control on the sixth round and again on the seventh one he gave a beating to Pedroza. On the eighth round a tired Pedroza put his last effort and the round was more even until Armstrong connected a solid combination and dropped Pedroza. Eusebio got up and the bell saved him.
On the ninth round again Pedroza tried to atack looking for a lucky punch and he put the champion in some trouble with big right cross, but Armstrong answered with a cross of his own and Pedroza visited the canvas for the second time. Again Pedroza got up and survived the round.
Pedroza did it well on the tenth round and it was an even stanza with both fighters having their moments.
But on the eleventh round Armstrong stormed forward and punished Pedroza without answer for all the round until the referee stopped the fight with only two seconds for the bell.
At the time of the stoppage the scorecards were 98-91 97-91 and 98-90 for Armstrong.

Ernie Terrell put his name as one of the best Heavyweights in the world with a convincing unanimous decision win against hard-hitter George Foreman. Terrell had won this title last May against Larry Holmes on a very big upset and it was his first title defense.
Terrel did the neccesary to win the first two rounds using his hand speed and ring movement against an static George Foreman.
“Big” George starting to find the target on the third round and rocked Terrell with a big combination but Terrel still landed more punches to made the round and even one.
On the fourth round Foreman bombs continued doing some damage, Terrell connected some good counters but this tieme it wasn’t enough to win the round.
On the fifth round Foreman launched his total attack and hurt Terrell several times with his uppercuts and with a straight right near the end of the round but Terrell stayed on his feet.
The sixth round was an action-packed one with Terrell landing more punches but with Foreman connecting the strongest ones.
Terrell outboxed Foreman on the seventh round to easily win the stanza but Foreman answered clearly winning the eighth round and again hurting Terrell with his violent uppercuts form the inside.
Terrell edged rounds nine and ten being the more active man on the ring, Foreman wanted to finish the fight with only one punch and he almost did it at the end of the tenth round when a strong right hook to the head made Terrell stumble.
On the last two rounds Foreman looked tired and Terrell easily outlanded him to win both stanzas and the fight.
My scorecard was 117-112 for Terrell, the official scorecards were 117-112 (x2) and 116-113 for the champion Terrell.

The fight started with the pair trying to exchange bombs, the upercuts from the inside was the favourite weapon of both fighters. Already on the first round all people can see the difference of power in favour of Marciano.
The second round were more even and both figthers were hurt: a big right cross by Marciano hurt Ray at the middle stages of the round but a violent hook by Ray put Marciano in trouble seconds before the bell rang.
On the third round and with Ray looking for the attack behind a devastating right cross Rocky landed a big uppercut in counter and put Ray to sleep for the ten count.
The new champion Marciano was leading by 20-18 on all three scorecards.

On the fourth round Burns showed his boxing skills to outbox and outland a frustrated Dempsey.
On the fifth round Demsey came straight to Burns and hurt him two separated times one with a hook, the other with a straight right.
Dempsey continued his momentum winning the following two stanzas, hurting Burns with every power punch that he landed.
On the eighth round a pasive Dempsey allowed Burns to totally control the stanza.
Finally on the ninth round Dempsey landed his lethal attack and battered Burns for almost all the round until connecteing a great straight right that put Burns to sleep for the ten count.
At the time of the stoppage the scorecards were 77-75 (x3) for Dempsey.

On the second round Brewster was the one that started fast but Jeffries rallied on the final minute of the round, with the highlight of a big straight left that put Brewster in trouble.
On the third round Brewster was in total dominance of the situation, Jeffries only remarkable punch of the round was a straight right that put Brewster on some trouble near the end of the round, the rest was all for Brewster.
The fourth round had again back and forth action until Jeffies landed a violent uppercut and reopended Brwster cut and the referee decided to stop the fight. (Unfortunately on its best moment). At the time of the stoppage the scorecards were 29-28 (x3) for the champion Jeffries.
