Thanks, Paul, for all your hard work here. Is there any chance that the future game will run on the Android OS? I'm thinking of buying a Samsung Galaxy Tab.

I must confess I love the Android platform. As a Linux user I love to see it become mainstream in any of its various forms. I have looked at Android development in the past, but as my Java knowledge is rather limited it has not gone well. I hope to revisit this in the future as there is a C++ interface for Android, albeit rather limited. I really do want to upgrade (yes, i think its an upgrade) my iphone to an android handset.
One other issue that would need to be resolved is the ability to get free copies of paid for apps via the Android app store. I won't go into specifics, but until this loop hole is closed I can't see Andreas agreeing to an Android version. For that matter neither would I

Too bad about Android. I wonder if the next generation iPad will be smaller. Nice to be able to just slip it into your pocket on the way out.
Up here, the only way to get the Galaxy Tab is by buying it through Bell or Rogers. Looks like we're screwed again. Contracts and limited usage. To speed the process along, maybe Andreas could trick one of the Klitschkos or De Lahoya into donating money to the Save Title Bout Boxing Game Fund! Cap

I'm hearing rumours that the new iPad will be smaller. If that's true, I guess I'll be using one to run the new TBCB. Question is what version of iPad is going to be around by the time TBCB comes out....

Happy new year guys!
Work on TBCB 3 has already started. It is at early stages at the moment, as you prob know I have had a very turbulent time in my personal life recently which is drawing to a close. This means I am able to devote more time to TBCB. I will have a meeting with Andreas to plan our new milestones. Rest assured work is continuing in the mean time. |

we really dont need a 2.6 to be honest , everyone is keen to see the tb 3 but if theres a need for a 2.6 it should be just part of your development and therfor probably we never even know about , a 2.6 is not likely to make any money at all .
should be a case of strike while the irons hot with regards to a tb 3 , read the forums such as boxrec , people are really craving tb 3 but if this doesnt move faster then someone else will get in first , i know personally that a petition to get a rp boxing management sim made was sent by forum members on boxrec to some of the top game developers such as sports interactive before you announced a tb 3 was finally being made , i know things take time but i think a 2.6 is pointless at this moment in time |

I personally dont think SI will do a boxing game. I used to work for SI for over ten years and in my time there I tried to champion a boxing game that was in early development. It was not considered to be SI's sort of thing. I have always wanted to do a boxing game and now thanks to Andreas I finally am.
As far as I understand SI's interest does not expand beyond football games these days, which is there loss and our gain IMHO. |

Don't mean to pressure you, friend Paul, but I'm not getting any younger here. I'm beginning to think there's a Bambino curse on TBCB, though I certainly hope whatever personal problem you are having is short-lived.
This really is most likely our only real chance of ever seeing an in-depth boxing sim. Boxing is a niche sport and text sims are a niche form of entertainment afterall. So, I've got my fingers crossed. I'm starting the looonnnng commute this summer, and I'm hoping it won't be too long before I can play TBCB-3 on my (insert tablet device here). As for 2.6, I can't see any point in wasting time on that. TBCB-3 should be built from the ground up for a 21st century audience. If that means starting all over again in building fighters and organizations and photo collections, then what the hell! Go to it! Cap

Any developer would have to build a game up from the start and that would take time. TBCB has the best fight engine out there so TB3 is our best hope.
SI had their fingers burned with Eastside Hockey Manager, which is a great game btw, so I cannot see them doing anything but football games for the time being. |

SI just recently released a web browser-based baseball game, likely to fill the void left by OOTP leaving, so I don't reaqlly think they're content with sticking with FM.

OOTP left SI a couple of years ago because of creative differences between Markus and SI.
