One more thing.
I would like to see on the Manager Options Page a way to handle minor league Manager signings. Basically let you decide like the other things if you want to handle it or if you want the AI to take care of it. |

Back in like v2006, or 8, or 9, there used to be a field called "rival" or something similar when you did a CSV dump of team data. Don't think it ever got used, but at one time, it was at least on the radar... |

I would like way to sort people that are eligible for the Hall of Fame. I love the new 5 year waiting period, but its difficult to figure out who is eligible or not.
I would also like a world series champions for the players added to the record book. |

I have four:
1. More detailed managerial information.. which has already been mentioned. 2. An update button on the main screen not just once you have loaded your league. 3. Managers and GM's in the Hall of Fame. 4. A difference between GM and Manager. I like playing as the GM and hiring a manager and letting him set lineups and rotations with what I give him. I don't think it is fair we both get a win or a lose for it. I shouldn't be competing with my manager in the manager career standings. I should be competing against other GM's. |

When someone is inducted into the hall of fame after a waiting period the news story says that they retired at the age they are then, not the actuall age when they retired.
Eg. if someone retired at 39 and was inducted 5 years later the news story would say "... he retired at the age of 44". |

Just thought of another one.
When a team in the evolving leagues moves or changes its name it doesn't say what the name or city it changed from is. It will say The Atlanta Braves have moved to Atlanta. It should say The Milwaukee Braves have moved to Atlanta. Same for nickname changes. |

Retrosheet style event file for games
It would be nice to have an event file for the games. This event file would have all meaningful events of what happened in a game so those who are interested in extracting statistics from it can. This is different from the current game log in that the game log is meant to be easily readable to a person. The current game log is not friendly to parse information from programmatically.
For example, curious about the % a runner on 2B scores on a single to CF with 2 outs? Just write a program to parse the event file. Naturally this isn't a feature that everyone would make use of. The benefit is two fold - Customers interested in these types of stats can extract them. This would supply the OOTP team with some free testing because the community would report if a stat got out of wack. - This would also make it easier for in-house testing to create some automated tests to verify OOTP is working as expected. |

The ability to customize news by league -- this never really mattered before, but with dynamic leagues, it's suddenly become important.
For example, I have U.S., Japanese, Cuban, and Mexican leagues, all set to evolve dynamically. I manage a MLB team and that's the only league I really care about following day-to-day. However, certain rule changes in the foreign leagues may potentially require manual intervention (for example, if a league expands, I might want to do a manual division realignment to incorporate the expansion teams). So, it would be nice to be able to subscribe to rule changes in the foreign leagues, without having to wade through all the player-of-the-week e-mails that I don't care about; while still subscribing to even the most minor of MLB news items. |

A few things I would like to see...
When I decide to "manage" a game instead of sim I wish the controls for the human team (offense strategy, baserunning, etc...) would remember my previous settings. I always have to change the 5 options from the manager's name to "computer AI" since I usually just follow the last two innings and let the computer manage. Or it would be fine if there was only one item I would have to click to change all the settings automatically to "computer AI." Also it would be nice if the complete standings (for the human team's division) would be shown on the "manager home" screen. I like to "auto-play today" from this screen because it shows the linescore and if the standings were also shown it would result in fewer clicks. Along with this, a keyboard shortcut to auto-play from this screen would be a great addition. Last edited by Gorinski; 04-29-2010 at 09:23 PM. |

Add tool tip hints for column headers.
It would be nice to have tool tips giving the full name (and possibly a description) of any of the stat acronyms in column headers. Many of them are common knowledge, but as more and more get added it isn't always obvious what the stat means.
This idea was Mizzourah's. I saw it in the general forum and thought it was good. |

First off, great news about getting another major update looking forward to it.
As far as suggestions. 1) A box to turn off the "can't play a team within the division rule" in the first round. I understand some people like this rule, but I don't and would like it to be an option that can be toggled on and off. 2) Min/Max on the dynamic league settings. For example you do want the free Agency to change as the years move on, but you want to make certain that the computer never sets free Agency below 2 years or above 8 years. 3) On the players accomplisment page state how many championship teams the player has been on. Put it right where it says how many MVP's, batter of the week titles, etc that the player has. Of these the 3rd suggestion is the "wants to see the most within this update" list. The other 2 I can live with for the time being. I applogize if I stated stuff that has already been stated, just its 8 pages long and wanted to give my suggestions. |

Like DerekT, I haven't read through all 8 pages, so not sure if someone mentioned this, if so, I guess I am agreeing then.
Would be wonderful to have the ability to save a game in progress so you can come back later to finish. (Talking about when playing out a game.) |

Please try to fix the number of stud 2 pitch SP's in the draft when your using feeders and thus increase the lack of REAL SP's that are available. Honestly this is the ONLY knock I have on the game.

Ive touted this for a while but it would be great to see after the play the following "That home run by Uggla takes him above, Mr X to third all time for the Marlins" Or That steal by Pierre takes him to 23rd in the all time list above Mr X".
That would be awesome especially for those like me who play out every game. I would also like to see a sortable click for Batter v Pitcher and hopefully bring it in for the coding to be a relevant stat for the outcome. Finally, being someone who plays out all games I would like to be able to shorten a season to however many games I want and have the leaderboards in toe, unless Im not mistaken, if I shorten league to 75 games you still need to play the same ammount of games as in 162 schecule to get on leaderboards. If this is wrong and all the leadeboards act as a percentage reduced someone please say and Ill start a new fictional league. Hope someone listens to these. Oh, maybe add leaderboards for post season and hiostrical W/L v whoever you have played, i.e Marlins 56-68 Phillies, I don't like to criticise but I don't see the point in single game records in certain categories, like AB, HR, etc, too many on the smae number. Furthermore, if the player gets in three stars of the week or ranked 66 best prospect, can that not be added to his player history page instead of me adding it? Its an amazing game though!!!

I have asked for this previously. I want to put draft picks in one shortlist, players received in trade in a second list, and players traded away in another list. Then be able to view all stats/records for just the players in each list.
