Cheech, a lot of the pictures that you've posted here have "perspective" issues. It's a better picture to crop an image to a 2:3 aspect THEN shrink to size (either 90x135 or 180x270 or whatever floats your boat). Otherwise, the picture looks "squished." I have attached your cleaned up version of Anderson and my cleaned up version of him as an example of what I'm talking about.

Cheech, like I said earlier, crop the picture to a 2:3 aspect ratio. What I do for my personal headshots is to figure my width from ear to ear then multiply the number of pixels across by 1.5. That number will be the height of the picture. If you want more uni in your pictures, then set your width to have more background showing, then multiply the pixels across by 1.5 for the pixels for height. At that point, either leave the picture as it is OR resize it to 90x135.

The S. Johnsons
Can anybody post the above photo of Silas 'Si' Johnson, or one of his black and white photos, next to a photo of Sylvester 'Syl' Johnson.
Si & Syl: Do you think their being teammates and on the same pitching staff might have caused a little bit of confusion on the 1940 Phillies? In addition to the similar names both were right handed, both of similar size as each were 5 feet, 11 inches, and both were about 180 to 185 pounds. |

Answering My own Question: Checking baseball-reference.com - Si & Syl were never together the same year on the Cardinals, however my research found that they were together briefly on the 1934 Cincinnati Reds. Si was on the Reds the entire season going 12-17 (not too terrible for a last-place team) while Syl Johnson was with the Reds from the start of the season until a Mid-May trade to the Phillies, where he remained until 1940.
