Australian National Boxing Federation Championship

ANBF Title Fight - The Powerhouse, Melbourne, VIC, Australia

[Champion] George Thompson, Australia, 14-1-0 (7) vs ANBF#5 Tom Lees, Australia, 21-4-0 (16)

Lees hurts Thompson twice in the early rounds but is unable to sustain his aggressive attack. Thompson is the more effective puncher, cuts Lees and puts Lees down in the 14th enroute to an unanimous decision to retain his ANBF Title.

Winner: Thompson
Result: (UD15)
Cards: 145-141, 145-141, 146-140, all three cards in favor of Thompson
Punch stats: 258-555, 46.5% Lees - 433-1090, 39.7% Thompson

Dokiwari puts the champion down once in the 3rd, 6th and 9th but the 10th is a stunning round. It seems as though Dokiwari is dominating the fight when Ekwelum drops the challenger twice at the beginning of the 10th. Then all of a sudden, Dokiwari puts Ekwelum down in the last minute of the 10th with a wild overhand right. What a round! The champ is down again in the 14th and three times in the last round. Ekwelum gets up all three times but the fight is finally stopped with only 0:02 seconds remaining in the fight. Dokiwari is the new NBBoC Champion.

Winner: Dokiwari
Result: (TKO15)
Cards: 137-125, 136-126, 135-127, all cards in favor of Dokiwari
Punch stats: 394-1120, 35.2% Dokiwari - 197-660, 29.8% Ekwelum
Wow, that tenth round sounded amazing. Dokiwari put Ekwelum down 8 times damn thats the most KDs I've ever seen in a TBCB Bout by one fighter.

Do you want a fight with a Cuban fighter or do you have something else in mind?

Galaxy will take on Sakkasem Tor Silachai next. Though I must admit I was tempted in fighting Pong again and handing him his first loss again. I think this will probably be Galaxy's last fight against a Thai for awhile. Galaxy needs to be challenged and the only person capable of that in Thailand is Samson which isn't happening for awhile.

Napoles wants someone who's 8-0 or something similar to that doesn't matter were their from. Trying to position him to debut as high in the rankings as possible. What we really want is a fight with Diego Corrales for the one after this one. A win there should shoot us up the rankings.

Just a reminder...

To promotional managers:

remember, if you see a fighter on lists that have a different record than before, the crash may have had my db revert back to an older record. i am sorry for that but i know there will be some fighters that i am not able to adjust. for instance, Billy Zumbrun, is at 6-0-0, which was the record he had before he lost to Hagler. just caught that one. will try to keep finding and adjusting these files as i find them, until then, please bear with me. thanks

Okay, will put up a list shortly. Will look into the Corrales fight, but he may want to take a shot at the MBF title if offered. Although it looks like Morales will be first in line for that title shot.

Mike,

Do you still want Pong if he has a loss, because I didn't get to update his record after crash? He lost his last fight to Galaxy so he would be 1-1-0. Sorry about that. Let me know.

Cool, hopefully we can get that Diego fight it's the one we really want for Napoles' tenth.

No problem, I knew that the reason the loss had disappear was because of the crash. Plus, you said that you weren't going to change the records of the guys that didn't matter to the uni right now. I was just saying that it was tempting to set up another match with him and hand Pong his butt on a platter again.
