Nice win, big hits from Crosby and Payton tonight and a solid effort from Blanton.
Have faith, A's fans. This team is in first place before the All-Star Break for once. That's a good thing. If that can go 3-3 up till the break, I'll be satisfied with the first half all things considered. |

Payton again. Gotta love this stat. 11 of his last 16 RBI have given the A's a tie or the lead.

Well, can't win 'em all.
Another nice game for Kielty, who is now hitting .302. |

Ping: Anybody here who can help.
I'm back to playing some MVP 2005 and I'm editing some of the fictional players into A's players/prospects not in the game. I'm having a heckuva time finding free scouting reports on guys.
What pitches does Ron Flores throw and how fast? If possible, a ranking of best to worst would be fantastic. As of now, I just gave him the same pitches his brother throws. Thanks and go A's tonight. Lineup: Kotsay Swisher Chavez Thomas Payton Crosby Johnson Kendall Ellis Wow, a lineup that doesn't suck! |

I really want to beat those LAAoA mofos.
And whoda thunk you'd like a lineup with Payton hitting 5th?

3 righties coming up. We're winning.
Duke and Calero are both in the pen, available. What does Macha do? LEAVES IN HALSEY THE LEFTY!! WOOOHOOOO!! Our manager rocks. Of COURSE they got 1st and 3rd with no outs, and Vlad hit the first pitch from Gaudin (still not Duke or Calero, our 2 best righties) over Swisher's head to tie the game.

That ball was absolutely crushed.
Strange though, same as Payton when he hit his game winner, they just run back into the clubhouse ASAP.

I just get in, turn the game on, and see the umpire totally blow a call! Yay!
Figgins was easily more than three feet out of the baseline. He was actually three strides. I can't figure out how he was called safe first of all, and why the A's announcers are saying it was a good call. I realize Figgins is a little guy, but even he travels more than 3 feet when he takes 3 running strides. |

I hate that guy. He is so ugly and I get tired of looking at his mouth agape.
That said, hell of a pitching performance. Or was that the A's just sucking? |
