I downloaded the new Yankee Stadium 2009 but the alignment of the fielders is not right. The pitcher is standing past second base and the infielders are in the outfield. Is this something that I can adjust?

is the field grid off? Did you import everything? or just the obj file?

I imported everything. I did adjust one of the camera angles, don’t know if that has anything to do with it. If the field grid is off I don’t know how to fix that

I believe there's an option in the camera settings to align the grid automatically in the lower right hand corner. I'll check that when I get back home from work tonight.

You shouldn't have to do that though. the .ootp3d file that is part of the package holds the grid information. That needs to be in the park folder

I'll check if that's in there. I'll also manually load the .obj file into the 3d model. If I need extra help I'll PM you.

I know that Minute Maid Park has been requested, hopefully that's next. I've been using your late 1990's Astrodome version which is really nice.

Would you consider updating your 1988 Yankee stadium with a little more detail? I'd like to see some monuments behind the left-center field fence. The previous Yankee Stadium had a much nicer and larger monument park than the current stadium. Also, I'd like to see the Nobody Beats The Whiz sign on the right field wall like they had in the 1996 playoffs. That would be a really nice touch.
I was able to relatively quickly add some things you requested to Old yankee stadium

You can get the latest version here

I figured out the issue I was having with 2009 Yankee Stadium. I didn't put the file directly into the models folder, so when I opened it in the game the file was incomplete. I'm all set now.

Silvam14, you really made my day! Christmas came early this year indeed. Thanks for the updated 1988 Yankee Stadium as well.

I have a home stand coming up in 3 more games...been on a road trip. Even though its 1992 in my world right now, I think I'm going to have to play a series in this new Yankee Stadium II. What's the worst thing that could happen? I create a black hole for tearing the fabric of space-time? Pffft Scientists are always saying they want to see one up close. I'd be doing them a favor!!

I can't wait! Great job....as usual.
Not sure it's exactly the one you're after ALB but there's a Steinbrenner in the Florida League section of this thread.

Silvam, you're doing a terrific job giving the modern parks a proper look. Thank you for your time that you've invested in this extensive project. The game just wouldn't be the same without your work.

Right on! Obviously, the visuals aren't the same, but if the dimensions are legit and the elevation or coordinates are good, I'll take it. Thanks for letting me know. I owe you one.

In the game, go to park editor, under actions menu, select "Manually import data from file into this park"
navigate to park folder and select .prk file
When I follow these ^^ instructions, the following are updated:

- Daytime Picture & Night Picture, both with jpg files
- Diagram Picture, with a png file

However, 3D Model is not updated. The value for that remains "(Use default model)."

What am I doing wrong or missing?

Thanks in advance.

Some of the 3D models load automatically, others don't. Not sure why. So go to PICTURES & CO-ORDINATES and click on the SELECT FILE for the 3D model. Then choose the .obj file for that park and it should appear for you in game. You can see what it looks like in the 3D Model section of the ballpark editor.

The only issue is these parks do not have an .obj file so I don't think they work in game.

Thanks. But after doing that, the source for 3D Model still shows "(Use default model)"

For the one stadium in my game where I do not get the default model, Dodger Stadium, the file is a .pod file.

Are the .obj files in the "ballparks" folder? I THINK - not KNOW, but THINK - they have to be for the program to pick them up.

Yep, that's the key. Thanks!

I missed that. I did not have them in the correct folder. I had put them on another drive to save space. My bad.

BTW, I found that I needed to save my league or else the changes (manually selecting the prk files) did not stick.

Well, they work in the sense that they assign home run fence distances, ball locations, etc. They just don't have the 3D model, so a default ootp minor league 3d model park is assigned. It stinks because the field isn't necessarily designed with the home run fence of the model matching what the distances are that the computer uses.

For instance, if I import all of those stadiums from the Florida State League, they're all going to use one generic 3d model...but the "dimensions" will be different for each park, like they are in real life. Again, however, it kinda stinks because the generic 3d model has a short right-field with a strange shape. In game, the files could be telling the game engine right field is 330 down the line in right, but the generic model makes it look like 290, which is a huge bummer.

I hope one or two of those sentences resembled a clear, coherent thought.
