Good win A's fans. As a Giants fan, I can see the writing on the wall this coming series. I'd consider us lucky to win 1 with the way we're playing. This has all the makings of last season's 2nd series, and we all know how that went.

Kotsay
Swisher
Chavez
Crosby
Johnson
Payton
Perez
Kendall
Blanton

Apparently Perez is in because he's 5-for-7 lifetime against Schmidt.

Man, I really can't wait til we get the Big Hurt back.

Well Joe Blanton's bat replacing Frank Thomas' in tonight's game isn't exactly a help.

Good luck tonight, and I don't really mean that, but if the Giants do win at least I know there is one Giants fan I like and will be slightly happy for.

Why, why, why do the Giants have Finley in center and Winn in right? That makes no sense whatsoever. And I thought Macha was a dope (and he is, don't get me wrong).

Blanton (or Kendall or Macha) disgust me. Giving Bonds the free pass like that is really, really lame.

Amazing that he's missed 42 games

Did Bonds just steal a base?

Not really.

He was moving, and Gaudin turned and threw to 1st instead of doing the SMART thing and stepping off the bag and having Bonds dead to rights.

Johnson double clutched taking the ball out of his glove and was late making the throw to 2nd.

dola,

This game is such proof of why Macha is a horrible, horrible manager.

a) Bringing in Gaudin and Sauerbeck in a tie game in the 8th
b) Not pinch hitting for (righty, 4 hits all year) Perez with (lefty, has some pop) Melhuse to lead off the 9th down by a run. OMGZ!11! you might need yer backup catcher if you happen to score and then go 18 innings!!11!shift1!!
c) Not pitching Calero to start the 8th (see: a)

And Crosby wasn't covering the base.

The amazing thing is that an article on the A's site posted yesterday during the game (I think) said that Macha didn't want to use Duke and Calero on the same day until they both were back in their normal form.

Why did Duke only get to throw 6 pitches?

Because Macha is ******ed.

Same reason he made Street pitch around Bonds today.

Result: Durham walk-off.

Thanks Kenny. Please die.

The A's have walked Bonds in a ton of situations where they shouldn't have. I'm amazed it hasn't hurt them even more.

Gibson swings, and a fly ball to deep right field! This is gonna be a home run! Unbelievable! A home run for Gibson! And the Dodgers have won the game, 5 to 4; I don't believe what I just saw! I don't believe what I just saw!

According to Street he wasn't even pitching around Bonds, just couldn't locate his pitches. Not a good series for closers.

Kendall
Swisher
Kotsay
Crosby
Johnson
Payton
Scutaro
Perez
Loaiza

WHY CAN THE BLITHERING IDIOT NOT JUST HIT SWISH 3RD ALREADY? KOTSAY?? SERIOUSLY???

I hate him. I honestly hate him.

Uh, because your best hitter should bat 2nd? Yeah, Macha is right to have Swisher batting 2nd.
