Crosby = 6 LOB tonight.

Not so good. Please don't follow the Ben Grieve rookie of the year career pattern.

Crosby in general is not very good. I must say, I'm not really a fan. I root for him, but I don't see him as a fundamental piece to this team.

Incidentally...

Sauerbeck, who was just signed, has a history of control problems.

OBVIOUSLY, Macha would put him in with the bases loaded.

I think G&GH jinxed the team by going to the game.

I think the 17 inning game and the travel without a day off hurt them.

But G&GH didn't help.

Sorry guys. I thought me going to the game would be a good thing! But yeah, that sucked. We left in the 8th after the Rockies scored their 7th run.

Well, Milton Bradley is our offense's version of Rich Harden. He's back on the DL. I'm not sure he was ever really ready to come off the DL in the first place.

Journeyman Doug Clark comes up and to make room on the 40-man, the A's DFA the gay porn star.

I predict that Clark, a la Jeremy Brown, will never see a minute of playing time.

Incidentally, the Royals just got Joey Gathright from Tampa for JP Howell. With Bradley being a fragile little flower, would anybody be against picking up Reggie Sanders from KC to play Right Field?

Yes. He's also signed for 2007, he's old, and he's not exactly playing better than Kielty, who is quietly having a solid year.

Kendall
Swisher
Kotsay
Chavez
Crosby
Johnson
Payton
Scutaro
Loaiza

And the most important factor is that I'm not there.

Wow, the A's have cooled down quite a bit. Another shutout, this time a 1-hitter. 23 scoreless innings and counting.

A one-hitter? Wow, and it was on the first batter of the game, on a ball that Brad Hawpe caught and then dropped. I am glad I didn't go tonight. And I'm not going tomorrow night like I had orignially planned.

At the best hitters park in the league, too...I'm guessing the boys are squeezing the bats a little tighter and swinging a little harder knowing that a routine flyball could fly out of there.

Getting shutout twice at Coors field, is like going to the Red Light District and not getting laid.

Twice!

The Oakland A's have had the best commercials of any Major League team for the past several seasons:

2004

2005

2006

Swish almost single-handedly won that game offensively.
