FHM1 was huge dissapoint for me. How solid is FHM2? Any brain destroying bugs or something else that makes the playing impossible? I don't necessarily want to spend another 30€ for nothing.

I keep losing. Obviously I'm doing something wrong.
Is there an option to have the AI make suggestions on how to improve the team or any other way to help me figure out what I'm doing wrong? I feel I have a good team, and I'm losing to all the bad teams. |

Are you putting it in the Steamapps portion of the game? There should be a separate directory in your Documents folder.

Are you taking a lot of penalties? How much is everyone playing? How are your lines balanced? Your game will determine a lot of that. I know you've watched some of the streams, and delving into the tactics should help you get your game back some. Much like todays NHL, not having a grinding line and a tempo line can make a difference. Also, if all your top players are playing all the time (ie: Top line, PK1, PP1, etc), they can burn out. It's best to find some balance there. |

I have players who are beginning to regress well before they really should be (age 25 or less), despite showing up as receiving training on the screen. Is it normal for players that age to regress without "extra attention"? Any idea what might be causing that?

That's more or less fact. It's around that age where you see how a players career will turn out. Will they be the hard working guy who has a long career? Or become the next Mike Richards? Richards still has value, but not nearly as much as he did 6 years ago. |

Thanks, Adam. I can't believe I never noticed that box before. Can you help me understand the role of the Game - Setup / Options screen within an online league? For instance, if we wanted to slow the aging process for all players, would each of us need to set that option accordingly or just the commish?

Just purchased the game
Can I replay the current nhl season with all the transactions (trades, injuries, etc) by taking control of all the nhl teams and can I do the same with historical play (trying to replay past season with the actual transactions thanks |

If you want to replay this season, click on NEW GAME feature. That will put you at the start of the 2015/2016 season. When you click on it, you get a drop down box that gives you 2 Database options, the first Database is 'Opening Day 2015' - This will have the roster set as it was for the teams when the season kicked off. The second option, 'Current 2015' will have the rosters as they currently are (after the trade deadline). The game will not replicate the season as it has exactly gone. For Historical Mode, the biggest 2 factors is this: (1) Make sure to Draft Rookies/Generate Rookies at age 17. (2) Choose which player development you want. The Recalculate Option sets players as to they historically are, for instance, how a players career goes, when they peak, did injuries hit, retirement, etc. The FHM Engine differs from that as nothing is quite as predetermined. In it's most basic terms, think of it like this: Recalculate Player Ratings: Bobby Orr becomes much more likely to have long-term injuries at the end of his career and he will get forced into retirement in 1979. FHM engine: Bobby Orr never gets injured, continues to have a long and healthy career, retiring in 1990 at age 42 as the all-time leader in points for a Defenseman (and 3rd all time). Now that's not a perfect analogy, but should give you a basic idea of what's going on. Last edited by Adam B; 03-28-2016 at 12:35 AM. |

thanks for the info
Can I can turn off trades or do I have to be a gm for all the teams to make trades as they happen in real life (if I am replaying a historical season) |

You would likely need to control every team to make trades happen like they do in real life, or at least half, and then you could "Force" the trade to happen.

Bought a Mac, copied my league folder from my old Windows laptop and moved it to saved_games in the default_data folder of the game under Applications. When I go to open the league there is no league to open in the Load Game. What did I do wrong?
Thank you

One add on, I created a league on the Mac and can't find that league folder when I opened up the default_data folders. Figured may not be compatible so I was going to copy over the .pngs I have.

Strategy!
I apologize if this has been already addressed, if so please respond with link. Re: strategies, can anyone explain the zone assignment feature, as well as offering any suggestions? Thanks.

I drafted a czech guy in the 1st round 19th he plays for Saskatoon Blades in the WHL or whatever (Some Canadian juniors league)
He is not good enough for the team yet but I want to keep his rights (I signed him to a contract) so I thought OK send him down He is 19 and whenever I try to put him back on Saskatoon it says "Saskatton has reached their foreigner limit" How do I get this guy off my roster without losing his right I cant waive him or AHL him or ECHL him and I dont know how to "loan" him to another team Help |

Hopefully that gives you an idea. Basically what the set-default is pretty standard. You may want to make occasional modifiers to it depending on the strength of your team. For instance, my Defenseman have really good shots, so when I'm in the offensive zone and the puck moves to the corner, the opposite defenseman will move to the center of the ice at the blue line. This can occasionally put him out of position, but at the same time it also helps them score more than usual. Picking a strategy isn't exactly easy without knowing more about your team. |

Can I play an exhibition game between the 1984 Edmonton Oilers and the 1979 Montreal Canadiens ?
How do I set up a game between these 2 teams, if possible ?
