if we dont pull a jackass and give up a goal 4 minutes in, we might have had a chance at not sucking...between their 1st and 2nd goals we weren't looking too bad.

The USA is done like dinner, 3-0.

I have a brand spanking new high-definition cable box for my birthday, and I will now watch anything, even Oprah or soccer/football, as long as it comes in high-def.

Im just so disappointed and gutted because I think our players let the environment overwhelm them and they didnt give their best effort. I hope they can get it together against the Italians.

I haven't heard it so if it's only just happened, I'm surprised it hasn't been said.

Yep, that's what happened yesterday - he's got a calf injury, but should still be on the bench on Thursday.

They just showed the highlote of Paolo Rossi scoring agianst Brazil and leading Italy to the World Cup. Considering all the controversy that surrounded him maybe history will repeat itself.

FYI, Brad Friedel's just been interviewed on the radio and he was very cautious on what he said about today's game - you could tell he's not happy with the performance.
He thinks they needed to get at least a point today to have any chance to qualify, although he doesn't think it's going to be a failure or a setback for US soccer if they don't qualify from the group.

He was in Columbus where allegedly he along with fans were watching the game on a big screen at Columbus Crew Stadium. (I realise it was rhetorical )

Im a little bitter. This has been a rough year in sport for me so far. My UCLA Bruins kicked butt through the NCAA Tournament only to be crushed by U of Florida. My Angels have completely collapsed. Team USA need international aid.

On the bright side this has been the best WC I have ever seen so far. Hopefully this will be a great match.

I've even started watching nature shows just to count the little hairs on the little green bug's arse. TV without HD is like TV without Tivo, unwatchable.
