I think Seth Etheron has pitched well at Sacramento so far.. wouldn't be surprised to see him get called up to take Saarloos' spot if he continues to struggle.
And Midland OF Andre Ethier is raking.. .459/.512/.838 in 37 AB going into tonite, hopefully he continues to hit. |

This is mainly a bump to make sure this stays on the Page 1 today at least until game time, so Faroo6, this is for you.
Zito is going tonight. I hope we see the Zito of five days ago and not of two weeks ago. I have a Zito figurine on my desk at work, and before his last start against the Angels, I talked to the little figurine and I told him to throw his curveball for strikes. It looks like it worked, so I will do it again today.

Yes I hope we get the Zito from 5 days ago too. Would be nice to see him stay on a roll for a while like his Cy Young days. Blanton has been a huge surprise to me. I knew he'd be ok but holding the Rangers down like he did yesterday was very impressive. Looks like there could be a new Big 3 in Oakland and Zito isn't even part of it. Big 4 if he gets his act together. GGH, doing my part too, to keep this on the front.

Did you forget to talk to him today?
Walks will kill you every time. 2 hits, 4 runs

I'm all about plugging anything I write, so what kind of crappy post about Zito can I write about in the A's blog I started today?

Watch it be a classic Zito where he allows only like 4 hits but gives up like 7 or 8 runs?

At least it looks like the offense may have showed up. Let's beat 'em in a slugfest, boys.

Scuty gettin it done and then Kotsay with the big dub. The offense has apparently shown up tonight for the moment.
/\/\/\/\/\ damn lost a typing war. Both hits with two outs, thats a nice change.

The Rangers held off Tampa, 12-10, so every team in the AL West is .500 at this moment.

Scuty with two RBI's tonight. Poor guy is probably gonna get squeezed, but he has shown he can play everyday.
Street gets in another "low pressure" situation.

Big bases loaded, one out situation coming up. The top of the order needs to get the job done.

Memo to Eric Chavez
Dear Eric, While unorthodox it is ok to take the bat off your shoulder and actually swing at a pitch with the bases loaded. Sincerely, All A's Fans

I sure hope Mark Kotsay and Jason Kendall can light a fire under Chavvy's ass this year. He needs it. His nonchalance irritates the hell out of me.

This thread was in the Page 2 danger zone, but here's a bump to save it.
2 hours and 15 minutes til game time. Will Chavvy show up tonight? He's .300 lifetime off Ryan Franklin with 4 home runs.

I was going to bump this for Rich Harden gushing, but I see a thread was already started. Oh well, I'll bump it anyway.
