William and Liam--thanks for the ballots, guys.
We have only four ballots in right now, all from "regulars." Please feel free to vote, even if you've never taken part in the balloting before. The more, the merrier.

Thanks, Tyke and Jestor.
I'm with you on Easterly. I vote for him every year myself, and he's always in the middle of the pack; he has enough voting support to remain on the ballot, but every year it seems a catcher appears on the ballot whose credentials seem to overshadow Ted's. I'll be voting for at least two of the catchers this year myself: Easterly and Mike Konnick.

Big Six:
Is it too late to vote? I see your deadline passed last week, but I'd like to vote anyway. I haven't missed an election yet. |

I got your ballot, John, and you're in. I'm still waiting for a ballot from another guy who's never missed an election, so I left it open a little longer.

I'll post my own ballot here this time:
Coombs Dauss Easterly Hornsby Konnick Leach McMillan Nicholls Piez Pruiett If I had an 11th vote, it would go to Bubbles Hargrave. I suppose I'm biased in favor of Tex Pruiett, because as the "master" of Pat's universe, I saw him pitch so many huge games for the Sox back in the 'teens.

One more immortal
The 1934 Hall of Fame election has ended, and the voters have seen fit to enshrine only one player this year. Eleven ballots were cast, so eight votes were required for election. Several players fell just short; will 1935 perhaps be their year?
Here are the final totals for the 1934 balloting: Rogers Hornsby: 8 Sandy Piez: 7 Jack Coombs: 6 Ted Easterly: 6 Mike Konnick: 6 Bubbles Hargrave: 5 Tommy Leach: 5 Fred Luderus: 5 Simon Nicholls: 5 George Sisler: 5 George Dauss: 4 Tommy McMillan: 3 George Mullin: 3 Tex Pruiett: 3 Jack Roche: 3 Bert Sincock: 3 Jeff Tesreau: 3 Jack Chesbro: 2 Eddie Collins: 2 Harry Hooper: 2 Jack Powell: 2 Buck Weaver: 2 Roy Castleton: 1 Ray Chapman: 1 Larry Doyle: 1 Congratulations to Rogers Hornsby, the newest member of the Baseball Hall of Fame. And thanks once again to the voters who cast ballots in this year's election.

1935 balloting open!!
It's time once again for a Hall of Fame election in the world of Pat O'Farrell. The 1935 ballot includes four newly eligible stars, among them one of the finest pitchers of all time. Several players who have received strong support in recent years might find their Cooperstown dreams come true this fall.
The rules haven't changed; they're available at the top of this thread. You may submit your ballot to me (Big Six) via private message, or you may post it in the thread so we'll all know whose credentials you support this year. I'm trying to move TBBLOPO along, since Pat's son Mike is currently a sophomore at Notre Dame, and might have some decisions to make regarding his professional career before long. Therefore, I'm only holding this election open for one week. Please submit your ballots by Thursday, June 22. Short summaries of the careers of all the players on this year's ballot are listed below. The names of newly eligible players are highlighted in red. Thanks for participating in this year's election. We'll see you in Cooperstown! 1935 Hall of Fame Ballot PITCHERS: ROY CASTLETON: 1907-1924 247-200, 3.48. Wow, this is fantastic! We're on our way to a record turnout, since some of the super-regulars who have never missed an election haven't voted yet.
Thanks, Renner, RoyalsBlue, liamdaly, YODA55, William4192, ConnChris, and Tyke.
