Okay, thanks for listing the logos that need resizing. I'll take a stab at those in just a few moments. It shouldn't take terribly long at all to do .

First stab at the cats
Oh - and to answer your question regarding the 150 x 150 size. As long as the images are close to 150 x 150 there isn't any problem. Its when small images have to get blown up by the game or images that aren't proportionate get stretched (i.e a 100 x 150 would only be stretched taller) that the game images start looking bad. |

You did my suggestion very well.
I really like the white trim and the grey background. It shows up real well. If you can make it better. Do so. Thanks for the note about sizes. Thanks for the logo, too. Last edited by Eugene Church; 06-25-2003 at 11:08 PM. |

Oh... you can also post your next set if the last one is completed (or not). I'm looking for something to do, so if you can post another set, or tell me what still needs doing, I can get started on it.
Thanks. |

Sorry for the delay...these are difficult ones to describe...
and probably harder to design. HERE IS THE NEXT SET FOR YOU TO WORK ON: ATLANTA CRACKERS...a "cracker" is a bum or hobo...this could be tough...Do your own creation if it is too tough. COLORS: ROYAL BLUE WITH GRAY AND WHITE TRIM on a gray or white background...make the trim wide. (choose your own colors if they fit your design better...I chose these colors for the sake of variety in each of my leagues) DALLAS DRIFTERS...another tough one...if you could come up with a Clint Eastwood High Plains drifter or something from his "Good, Bad, and the Ugly" character...maybe a cowboy smoking a cigarette...or use a hobo, if you find one. If not, do it anyway you can. COLORS: BRIGHT ORANGE WITH RED AND BLACK TRIM...make trim wide...or choose your own colors to fit the design. RICHMOND ROADRUNNERS...Shub has a great design in the thread "Shub: Fictional Logo Request" for Gordyhulten on page 2 of the "Mods". It's the "ROADRUNNERS" done in Black and Red trimmed in Yellow. If you can use this, please do it. JUST ADD "RICHMOND" above the roadrunner and "ROADRUNNERS" beneath it...make the lettering larger than Shub's...make trim wide...decrease the size of the roadrunner and team symbol if you need to in order to get the lettering larger. JACKSONVILLE BEACHCOMBERS...boy, all of these are tough...all I can think of is a beach with a palm tree, a sailboat and a sunset...go to www.logoserver.com and look at the Florida State League and teams St. Lucie, Ft. Myer and Clearwater...you'll see what I mean. COLORS: SKY BLUE...AQUA GREEN (greenish blue...like the Tulane Green Wave) and ORANGE for the sunset...palm tree Green. Put "BEACHCOMBERS" ABOVE and "JACKSONVILLE" BELOW whatever you design as the team symbol. When all else fails, do a generic...city, nickname with the city's initial. AS ALWAYS...DO YOUR OWN DESIGN AND COLORS IF YOU DON'T THINK MINE ARE GOOD...OR POSSIBLE. Last edited by Eugene Church; 06-26-2003 at 01:08 AM. |

Yeah, like you said, these are all a little tougher (actually, quite a bit), and will obviously take considerably longer to do. I'll start working on them tomorrow, but unlike some sets of the recent past, I can't guarantee you this one will be finished by the end of the day tomorrow. We'll see what we can do, though.

If these are too much and requires you to spend an abnormal amount of time doing them, just do what we did earlier for the Philadelphia Athletics. TRY TO USE THE COLORS I SUGGESTED FOR THIS SET. USE THE "OAKLAND ATHLETICS" CIRCULAR LOGO WITH THE "A's" IN THE CENTER OF THE CIRCLE. Look at the "ALBUQUERQUE ATHLETICS" logo on page 4 of this thread. Just use that design for all of these listed. TRY TO MAKE THE CIRCLE A LITTLE LARGER THAN THE EARLIER PHILADELPHIA, OAKLAND, TACOMA AND ALBUQUERQUE SET, IF YOU CAN. PUT A FANCY LETTER (like the Detroit Tigers Old English "D") for the city name in the center of the circle. Sorry for making this set so complex...won't do it again. Hey, guys...my project is going great...
take a day off... and go help Jacobo and others that would like a logo. There are so few of you...and so many of us. You logo designers really, really add to the game and the OOTPB Community. We are blessed to have you. Brother Eugene (I think someone on this board called me that once after I got a little bit philosophical) |

Dammit. I've tried uploading new attachments like 3 times, and it still shows up as 225 x 225, even though it's saved on my hard drive as 150 x 150. I'll try posting a new reply. Along with the other resized logos.
BTW, nice logos, knuckler. All of them. Last edited by dbacks; 06-26-2003 at 05:22 PM. |
