There is some missing sections of this update. Either I didn't complete them as I thought and/or forgot to save in between the whole internet on/off nonsense.

I thought I had new update templates for these sections, but those will have to wait until update 12.

Nabo48 update #12 / games 111-120 ...

All of the new update templates should be in place in this update

This is classic Baltimore right here. Been predicting their fall for weeks.

DC and Boston both go 7-3 over the last 10, Baltimore says "That's cute, I think I'll do that too." ... and maintain their division lead.

Quote:
Toronto and Motor City get a little closer.

Quote:
Once again, the 1-2 teams fall to 3-4, there is 1 division in each League like this.

Quote:
Santo Domingo in a comfortable position.

Portland 7-13 over last 20 and looking a bit vulnerable.

San Diego AND Phoenix gain ground over slipping 1st place Golden Gate.

Unbelievable, StL has big series against Wisconsin and saves its season.

Quote:
4 Teams in contention. 1 will win the division. The next 2 will be the wild cards. This is the West's dominant division.

Albies stays hot, getting close to entering the MVP race.

Oscar Gonzalez seems to have taken the RF Castellanos trade personally, and is taking it out on the ball.

Quote:
Not the same team after the All-Star break.

Despite having many players that have positive split ratings against LHP, StL cannot beat lefties.

Still the highest scoring team in the West, on the strength of batting average and doubles.

Starting pitching is back in the bottom 5, while the bullpen stays 'strong', it's slipping too.

Team defense isn't helping the matter.

Splitting against strong Space City was big, but not as big as taking 3 out of 4 vs Wisconsin to stay in the race.

48 teams seems to have thrown a wrench in how the game handles prospects, lots of my 19 and 20yo were in 3A. I went back through a reorganized my minor league rosters, based on age. So, I'm including this to follow how my top prospects are performing/developing, which right now isn't too great.

Attendance has not been great, and I'm really hoping that meeting some of the owner goals leads to a bigger budget .... because StL needs to sign a solid SP in the offseason to improve the rotation.

This situation seems to be more reflective of present day St Louis market situation, when you remove the aspect of being a model franchise for 100y.

Albies may go 30-30 with his mid season surge.

Anthony has been consistently good.

Carlson really seems to be the sparkplug for the offense, while Albies and Anthony get most of the attention.

Quote:
This pitching staff is all over the place, up and down (more down than up), bullpen ... even with some volatility ... is still solid, but likely wearing down.

Jordan Montgomery, traded from StL, is helping the San Diego surge with quality production.

Nabo48 update #13 - games 121-130 ...

Quote:
Boston (14-6) and DC (13-7) surge over the last 20 games, but Baltimore responds with a 15-5 performance, with their 24-11 record in 1-Run games keeps them at the top of the standings.

Quote:
Toronto, Motor City, and Pennsylvania inch closer, but Montreal holds it together enough to have a reasonable lead heading into the final month of the '25 season.

Quote:
Even last place Georgia is one good streak from being in contention.

Quote:
Santo Domingo maintains their significant lead in the division.

Portland, 6-14 over their last 20 games, somehow keeps their lead.

Quote:
Golden Gate drops to 3rd on the heels of a 10-12 run.

San Diego steams into 1st, going 15-5 over their last 20, including a 10 game winning streak.

Sin City rides an 8-2 run to get to put the heat on San Diego.

Even Sacramento, 13-7 over last 20, is in contention.

Quote:
Taj Bradley and Jordan Montgomery (traded from StL) head the league's 2nd best starting rotation that's propelling the Silverbacks to the top of the division.

Quote:
CJ Culpeppers has emerged as a pitching force in San Diego.

Quote:
With St Louis following up their 7-3 run with a 3-7 collapse, the Great Plains division may be sorting down to a 2-team race.

Quote:
Space City's 9-1 run coincides with Mexico (10-10), Monterrey (4-6) and Texas (5-5) playing average baseball, leading to the Sky Captains sitting atop the league's strongest division. One of these 4 teams will miss the postseason.

A top 5 offense with a bottom 5 pitching staff is not how I envisioned this team.

Getting swept by Sacramento hurt ... especially when heading into a series with red hot San Diego.

Quote:
If the Sacramento sweep hurt, this was salt in the wound.

I always reset injuries [1] after the All-Star break and [2] at the end of the regular season.

If, by some miracle, this team wins the division, Mookie Betts will be available for the playoffs.

St Louis has gone from eyeing postseason play and getting that budget boost, to hoping they can meet the owner's goal of playing .500 baseball.

Albies went from red hot, surging as a possible MVP candidate, to ice cold pretty damn quick. Combined with the Betts injury, and St Louis is looking to piece together anything that results in winning some games.
