Max Scherzer notched career strikeout #3500! He is 10th on the All-time list and every pitcher ahead of him is in the Hall of Fame, other than Roger Clemens.

Scherzer left the game in the 7th in a 1-1 tie. It stayed that way until extras when the offensive explosion happened, ending in a 9-3 Blue Jays win over the Guardians.

WP - Jeff Hoffman (4-0)
LP - Emmanual Clase (3-4)

Record - 40-40

Michael Wacha took the Jays to an easy lead, only for Chad Green to cough up a game-tying grand slam in the 8th. Tony Taters grabbed it back, though, as Anthony Santander hit a three-run blast in the top of the 9th to give the Jays an 8-5 win over the Red Sox.
